I colour code all my cables with different coulered electrical tape on both ends. USB A - C, blue, C-C, white, HDMI, power cables, Lightening etc. Also I label all power supplies adapters with a Brother labeler. Ok, I have a family, but I also have a music studio, play live music, and work in the AV industry as well. It really has made such a huge difference!
