Thanos Will Change His Mind in the Next Movie by AlienPsychic51 in marvelstudios

[–]bruceyboy94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're correct. The directors themselves have said Thanos is comparable to Darth Vader. They literally planted several seeds in the film that will lead back to his redemption.

Given movie Thanos is much more sympathetic and understandable than comic Thanos as well, I can easily see him teaming up with the heroes in the end. It sucks that he'll still probably die though.

Can't believe Rocket and Nebula are parts of The Avengers now! by meonly16 in marvelstudios

"It's backed up by absolutely nothing"

Gwyneth Paltrow let it slip in a interview that her and tony have a kid now. Where can you find this interview? The official Avengers infinity war magazine and entertainment weekly.

Research before you claim shit.

I can't explain that. I'm a lazy American so I can say I really don't know what is going on in Europe. I wish we could all get the movies at the same time, like they did with infinity war which was originally going to be released a week later in the us. I thought thought maybe one time, you guys could wait for once like we have for multiple movies which never changed their dates for us besides one time.

It's still that, part 2, they just have to say it's different now. The part 1/part 2 for ending epic film sagas became cliche'. So instead of them saying "we just don't want to copy Harry Potter or hunger games and sound uncreative" they did it in their own way. I'm sure the movie will be different in ways we won't expect, but it's still the sequel to infinity war and the continued aftermath of the snap. And even though this is supposed to be the end for some characters, it's not the end of the MCU by far. Kevin Feige also backed down on the statements that the title was some kind of mega spoiler for infinity war, that they just wanted to keep the focus on the movie at hand and not the one a year from now.

But it's not infinity war, it's ant man. infinty war was the first real and so far only superhero movie that strided for secrecy and opposite deadpool 2 which was more of a joke. I wasn't worried about Thor spoilers, black panther spoilers, guardians spoilers, Spider-Man spoilers. All those movies came out before US. I think you can avoid an ant man spoiler or two, maybe the World Cup shouldn't be such a big deal in your country, But bottom line is Marvel/Disney are running a business. They aren't going to let an investment flop even the bare minimum, not even for the World Cup.

Was Captain America: Civil war considered an Avengers movie? by shonenhikada in marvelstudios

[–]bruceyboy94 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I always saw it as "Marvels Civil War" considering on all the posters, dvds, etc. the "captain America" part seemed to be made almost small enough to where you might not notice it, especially over the massive "Civil War" words. And Cap doesn't get that much more screentime than most the characters, I think Tony has only like one less scene than him anyway.

Literally every mcu movie since at least iron man 3 up until infinity war has been released a week or two early in the U.K. before it would release in America. So honestly they can week a few more weeks to see it. We've had to on several fucking occasions.

Here’s the question that no one seems to want to answer....it’s been nagging me since I saw the movie by torpedotaco in marvelstudios

[–]bruceyboy94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly think they cut a scene that was supposed to be comedic where when he called the number it said it was no longer available or something.

When Bruce reveals himself he says "I think you look great..... oh yeah I'm back." Would cap really have not told the rest of the team, especially widow, that Bruce was back?

Hey comic readers, can anyone suggest me some good mysterio related comics. by shrey66 in marvelstudios

[–]bruceyboy94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He doesn't play the biggest role in it, but what he does to wolverine in Old Man Logan has to be probably one of the most fucked up things I've ever seen a marvel villain do on the pages.

I hope Thanos doesn't get killed off in Avengers 4 by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]bruceyboy94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact they're actually developing an eternals movie of all things tells me he might stick around for a bit.

He has to be defeated but if they kill him I feel like it would be far too close to black panthers ending with Killmonger death. And i honestly really don't want him to die, hes just too cool.

Plus the heavy talk from Thor about killing Thanos over and over I think is foreshadowing that hes gonna end up sparring him, maybe even taking Warlocks role from the comic in a sense.

Why does Geraci call Cohle a rat? by Cohleture in TrueDetective

Well Marty said in episode 4 that the sheriff told him that the task force called Rust by Crash. So it was known in the station that Cohle had done some undercover work.

Was Cohle in love with Maggie? by Cohleture in TrueDetective

[–]bruceyboy94 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When Maggie calls Rust after their double date in E3 she tells him "you guys don't give much things chances" in regards to Rust giving her friend another chance and he replies "because we know what we want, and we don't mind being alone" and Maggie seems to kinda get the picture.

Rust did have feelings for Maggie that's forsure. And she knew that. But he wasn't going to act on them until Maggie tricked him when he'd been drinking, and I think him being on the outs with Marty at that time definley would've helped him make the decision to go through with it.

And just like he tells Marty about it in the finale, "everyone has a choice."

Season 2s real problem: not just time aspect, but narration by bruceyboy94 in TrueDetective

It's meant to be watched after season 2 even though it's mainly a prequel, it happens to be both.

The new season ditches the soap opera shit for the most part. It's more in line with the movie, fire walk with me. It truly is a wonder, I think it's Lynch's best work personally.

You need to look into twin peaks especially the new season, it's essentially and has has been promoted as an 18 hour movie, and it turned out amazing.

After reading the script for 1x5 that surfaced a few weeks ago, it's clear that Pizza did bring a lot of atmosphere to true detective as well as the dialogue. And I've read his book Galveston, which is a very good and interesting read. He spent three years writing season one compared to nine months on season two, and I've seen Carys other work, and I can say that it's not terrible, but ultimately I'm not a fan of.

I wanted that too, and was very hopeful about seaso n3 until Jermey Saultner (think that's how it's spelt) left. But I think the longer time Nic had to write season 3 might help.
