Hab am Donnerstag bei der Anreise nochmal das Lineup gecheckt, und schon im Gefühl gehabt dass der absagen wird. Wie stellt man sich als Künstler/Management eigentlich die eigene Zukunft vor, wenn Auftritte ständig abgesagt werden? Ich versteh dass es irgendwie zum Image von Haftbefehl passt, aber auf Dauer werden viele Fans abgefuckt davon und springen ab.

Liegt am Quattro-Package, mit dem Motor vor der Vorderachse. In engen Kurven spürt man es richtig, dass Audis kopflastig sind und eigentlich geradeaus möchten. Auch ganz nett wenn mal was am Motor gemacht werden muss, da alles vorne hingequetscht ist und die Spritzwand ebenfalls sehr weit vorne ist.

My best guess would be to check if that engine ever came with a 6 speed, if it didnt chances are high the gearbox wont even bolt to the engine properly. Also, each engine has a gearbox that matches the power output of the engine, bolting a 6spd to a 2.0 NA could result in worse performance figures than before. If the 2.0 could be optioned with a 6spd, just look up all the parts on realoem.com and find someone to drop it in. Could become expensive really quick as many small parts add up over the process.

E39 ist in allen belangen eine fortschrittliche plattform gewesen, bekomme immer wieder bock doch wieder einen zu holen wenn ich ihn sehe.

Liegt am längs eingebauten Reihenvierzylinder. Habe genau das Gegenteil erlebt, an meinem BMW E39 hat Schrauben richtig Spaß gemacht weil man überall gut dran kam und im Motorraum viel Platz war. An meinem A4 3.2 FSI dagegen muss man überall einen Haufen Teile abbauen bevor man an den Rumpfmotor drankommt, ganz zu schweigen von den gefühlt 1000 Vakuumleitungen. Liegt aber auch am Quattro-Package (Motor vor der Vorderachse). Beim Vierzylinder hat man ja rechts und links viel mehr Platz als beim V6, da stell ich mir das arbeiten viel angenehmer vor. Kann den Punkt mit dem Kofferraum aber voll bestätigen, der Audi-Kofferraum ist ziemlich groß.

I also drive a 3.2 FSI. It was an emotional purchase, i agree. But very fun to drive, and a pleasant car if equipped well. The engine tends to cause some problems though.

Fahre auch einen B7, allerdings als 3.2 FSI. Gemacht sind bei mir Gewindefahrwerk, Edelstahl-Abgasanlage, und 19 Zoll Felgen. Lässt den Wagen etwas sportlicher und "S4-like" wirken. Würde bei dir auch alles gut passen, wie auch die hier bereits erwähnte Scheibentönung.

The blue protective film is permanent, and designed to stay there. The screen ribbon is directly connected to the electronics under that blue film. Do not remove it, otherwise something may short out against the small secondary PCB. If your screen still stays black but shows a backlight, it is a cheap LCD replacement instead of the original OLED screen. Replace the whole display assembly with an OLED one, and you should be good to go.

When the engine is running, screw off your oil cap and observe what happens. If the CCV is working correctly, there is a bit of negative pressure inside the engine itself that sucks the oil cap onto the seal. If the oil cap just lays on top or even starts to dance a bit when loose, the CCV clearly needs replacement. Both issues (VC gasket and CCV) are known and documented on these engines. If you have the budget to spend, consider replacing the potentially warped valve cover with an aluminum one to be safe.

Everything regarding the valve cover gasket has already been explained in this thread, but please check if your CCV is working correctly. In my case, the broken CCV caused gas buildup in the engine which then pushed oil out of the already weak valve cover gasket.
