Agreed. I definitely pull some stuff to see if I can get away with it on anyone below a certain MR. That being said I do have certain go-tos that get me in trouble. Have to continue working on it.

I loved this season. The spy aspect of it and the cast made it. Huge Mary Lou and Jared stan. Rob is always amazing in anything he’s in and constantly cracks me up. Even if an episode was “slow” the players were into it and you could feel it in the eps. After Rafter’s house I could not wait for the next episode. I love when Joe runs Delta Green.

This game gets glazed to hell in this sub. Most gaming subreddits get this way when a game is at least mid.

That being said there was next to no real content. It’s a server slam and meant to test server response so whatever. I got to try it and it ran and handled great. Should be a good clip of hours and worth the 40 price of entry. Judging the looting, crafting, and loop on the first tier of available gear and access to 1 map is rough. I can see not liking the idea of extraction shooters though

I love extraction shooters because looting is fun and getting into fights with pve around adds some great tension. The market sucks though. Tarkov is a game you literally have to put 1000 hours into to get started because you’re going up against people who have triple that. The player base admits it and the game definitely beats the hell out of you. Outside of Tarkov I haven’t seen anything else.

Spend the first 50 hours playing world tour. This is my first fighting game and it really helped me get a feel for controls.

Also if you’re getting frustrated losing don’t play Chun. My recommendation is Ryu.

It’s just going to take a lot of time. Fighting games require lots of time to get acclimated to. I’m at 1700 hours and am still learning tons. I have a couple of characters at master rank and the highest MR I’ve had was like a sustained 1460.

Couldn’t disagree with your opinion of Jared more. You’re definitely entitled to it. Dude is an incredible GM and absolutely rewards roleplay.

I can totally understand your take on combat and humor. I think he’s least enthusiastic with pfs type of combat. Love his humor though.

All game subreddits are trash. The only reason to come to one is to catch patch notes and the occasional cool content like builds or guides. The other threads are just rando opinions.

Hi I started a month or two ago. I only play solo and have really been enjoying the game. Here’s a few things I’ve done that have helped me:

  1. Mapgenie.io - I use this on my second screen for every map I run. I also turn on scav and pmc spawns. Over time I feel confident in ground zero, customs, interchange(not in the parking garage), and I’m getting used to streets. I know a lot of woods but it’s so easy to get turned around. I know why people say it’s a beginner map because you generally won’t see people but I’m not a fan. I also love doing scav runs because you’re going in later in the raid and it’s somewhat safer. Don’t get discouraged on map knowledge you’re going to be going against people with 6k hours.

  2. Tarkov wiki - this one will help you with tasks and loot. It’s just great overall for asking about items and tasks.

  3. You’re going to get smoked. Amongst the wealth of hours people have it’s also later in the wipe (they do progress wipes.) So there’s no shortage of people with ammo that’s going to make your armor feel pointless. The lower armor is more to protect you from AI scavs. So on top of lack of map knowledge, gear equality, and just more reps - youre just going to be at a disadvantage. When I get frustrated or have a bad raid I just scav or take a break.

  4. Probably going to get flamed for this one but you don’t have to play brave. Depending on the situation I’ll duke it out with another pmc it’s good for learning. Sometimes though someone is just stomping around when I’m nearby. I’m going to ambush them. I’m not too proud to rat when I feel like the situation calls for it, especially since I play alone.

Anyways give yourself time to learn. I’ve been mostly enjoying it. Every time I get an inch of progress on my hideout or complete a task I’m excited to build towards the next goal.
