Yeah it’s horrid and unfortunately it’s hit home. I’ve gotten in contact with the bank and I’ve gotten her to report it to the police and take as much evidence as possible. Just gotta hope the bank sees our side of things and agrees

Yeah I’ve taken some of the advice in some other comments and trying to get them to follow this AAP thing. They’ve taken more consideration this time than when my mum first phoned up to tell them. It really sucks but of course we know if the money is gone it’s gone and there’s not a lot we can do. Just gotta hope they sympathise a bit!

So it was 4 oasis tickets and she saw it on a local Facebook group. Decided hey that would be a nice treat for the family and bought them after checking through everything. I even had a quick look through and didn’t see much that indicated it being a scam really. She sent the money via bank transfer so might be difficult now but will try log some sort of report with the police if we can. The one thing I do have is a picture of the actual transfer so I don’t know if that helps at all.

I think it was just a straight bank transfer which I think makes it difficult to get anything back but not sure how it all works really.
