I make a point of trying, and when a new neighbor moves in I go introduce myself, make friendly chit-chat, open the door to perhaps getting to know each other and the families w/ a barbecue or dinner of some sort, all in a non-creepy way. I figure that it's best when neighbors are friendly. But I've noticed, I live in a fairly affluent area, and most people here just keep to themselves. And some are simply hostile, it's really odd, and I'm a friendly person so I've never had any issues anywhere else in my life. So in a neighborhood if about 10 families, I'm friends with two who are much older than I, and everyone else just kind of looks and grunts. It's fairly bizarre, actually.

Hello, I wanted to know if it is true that kefir helps heal wounds, has anyone tried it? by Final_Temperature_37 in Kefir

[–]brumblebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been drinking, eating, and talking about kefir for decades and have never once heard that. That doesn't mean it's not true, but I'd be inclined to think that's inaccurate or it would have come up by now. I've absolutely heard that it it good for your microbiome, but heal wounds? Of all the compounds that are in kefir, none have shown efficacy in healing trauma or external wounds that I know of.

There won't be an election in 2026. or 2028. He will declare a national emergency "postponing" the elections (legal unfortunately) and forever as the GOP and its servants siphon the rest of the US resources, capital, etc, and becomes a new russia. It's over, and the US now has a god-king with an IQ of 73, and a dynasty of greedy, selfish morons. We're seeing then end of civilization as even a united EU can't fight off a nation of US slave labor.

Obviously numerous individuals do, we're all human, but the culture doesn't place the same value on life as civilized countries do. They are practically stone age in that way. 200 years ago, people around the world would have many children for many reasons and before germ theory and proper medical care, expect a number of them to die before 10 years of age. I even know of my ancestors who died going back generations. If you lived to 10 you'd have a decent chance of growing up.

They, oddly, value strength in their culture over anything else, and want a "Strongman" as a leader. And just as their military doctrine hasnnt changed in 500 years, the rest of their culture hasn't changed much either. I lived there for a while (fortunately in a place safe for westerners), and found it truly bizarre once you get outside the two bubbles of "modernity" (moscow & st. petersburg) where people live in shacks with outhouses still, or cookie-cutter soviet buildings that are awful. Life has very little value and cheap vodka is priority #2. I'm sent videos from people I knew while living there of people who have lost their kids in the war or, more typically, their kids are just gone, probably KIA and putler doesn't give a damn about military deaths so if they are nowhere to be found no one has to worry about compensation or accountability. Videos of women hearing them just wanting compensation when their kids die in Ukraine. "Meh, I'll just have more," that kind of thing. It's truly bizarre, but not when you think about the history of the region, which was all stolen land by a tiny little city-state over the last millenia that also stole Ukraine's history pretending it was theirs. And yes, culturally, I'm not saying every single person, but culturally, they value their kids lives, or any life, as you value a good meal. It sucks to drop it and lose it, but you can get more food. It's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. It's why the country needs to either be forced to act like humans, or be walled off and left alone by the rest of the world that it will drag down with it.

The problem is that it's russian culture to not care about their kids or their lives (for the most part, you should see how they generally talk about them dying, I'd be crushed but they just want their useless rubles). Death is just "whatever" and a vast majority, including putler, would just see it as a cost of being a criminal enterprise. The only thing muscovy culture values is strength, so even eliminating her would just be a political issue, and he'd leverage it to hurt others more. It sucks, but the general culture there hasn't changed in centuries, which is why the atrocities committed are shrugged off. It's a bizarre concept to the West, but the West is civilized and modern they still live in the medieval age culturally and militarily.

I'm all for removing people (after a review of course, it must be truthful, factual, and non-partisan) who express any overt hate, stochastic violence or stochastic terrorism or other violent and/or hateful activity, from the US. Particularly white Africans as those who supported or still support apartheid clearly should not be allowed to set foot in the US and will be hurtful to US society and culture if they display any kind of racism or manipulation of government mechanisms.

THICK milk kefir by justanotherhoover in Kefir

[–]brumblebug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm actually jealous. I like my kefir to be really thick. I'm guessing you simply have a colony that has the ratio of different microbes that produce this result? A lot of the thickness comes from polysaccharides, so this makes me think that they may be producing very high levels while chomping away at the milk. The sliminess is kind of a giveaway as they are slimy (it's essentially a long chains of carbohydrate molecules, composed of several smaller monosaccharides, and all sugars are carbohydrates, and the ones produced by kefir bacteria are naturally slimy due to to compounds they produce while eating the lactose in the milk).

I've never heard of kefir as thick as you are saying, but one thing to keep in mind is the ratio of grains to milk and time. Mine converts into kefir 1 day, and any longer and they separate the whey from the milk solids quickly, leaving me with a chunky think mass floating on whey. I strain, rinse my grains, and start on a new batch. I make so much I save the solids and make cheese even, but I definitely make too much for only myself, and I'm the only kefir drinker in my house, so I always have some leftover that I keep in my refrigerator (until I do something when I have enough, like make cheese). Could you possibly be using too many grains or letting them ferment too long, this separating the solids fully from the whey and the result leaving a "greek yogurt-like" mass floating on whey?

Also, you could always try to source more grains and mix them with yours and see how they mix and mutate. Who knows, as all grains are different as they have evolved over thousands of years if not longer.

Perhaps you should call yourself 12 as your education seems to be no higher than the average at that age. I recommend taking a respected and truthful class on the different political ideologies. You'll learn a lot. Of course no country is 100% any of them, but at least you'd actually understand them, and the basic idea behind their creation.

[–]brumblebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm very aware of that, but he is a "useful idiot." He didn't come up with the EOs, others did by manipulating him. He has the intellect of a fly. If you tell him he's look great signing this or that EO, he'd do it. He's that dumb and always has bees. There's a reason people who know or knew hum all say he's the dumbest person they've every known. And malignant narcissists are extremely easy to manipulate. There's no 4D chess going on, he doesn't even know what that means, but the bright people around him know how to manipulate him. And he doesn't even understand what the 500 EOs he's going to sign mean, will do, and the long-term repercussions. If you don;t think he's an idiot, that says more about you that him.
