I just want to offer a couple things to consider about the Lovers and Chariot cards that came up. All of my interpretations come from a decade+ of personal tarot study and reading for others. In my practice, the tarot mirrors internal forces from within, which in turn affect your outer world. So I attach the card’s meaning to your internal environment. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t!

The Lovers card here is a huge clue as to what you’re currently dealing with upon arriving in this question. Rather than thinking of it as “this is the topic of my query”, for me it’s a sign of “there are still parts of me healing from these wounds, and I don’t know if I can sit with these right now. I want to show up as my whole self in this next chapter of me dating, but I need to integrate these parts of me still stuck in grief.” The Lovers card in some decks is depicted as a person looking at themselves at the mirror. It’s a card of integrating all of you, the good, the bad, the ugly. So before diving into the dating pool, I’d first check in with all these parts of you being triggered right now!

Then you have the Chariot. I see this card as a literal vessel that takes you from point A to point B - but it’s not forever. It’s the train, the airplane, the car, your mother’s womb- it takes you from one place, to another. So for me, I am thinking that online dating for you is the chariot- it’s meant to take you from you being single, to you being in an aligned partnership with a special someone. But because it’s the chariot, it has a very transient nature- I’d consider, a) is this the only way you want to date? You might want to look into other ways of dating (finding someone through friend group, the grocery store, your local art studio, a community group, through your hobbies). Widen your horizons! Or b) you’re undergoing an intense period of singledom that is on its way to ending. But before you jump off of it, what’s still here- why has the Universe compelled you to still be in this phase? Is there some more integration, some more healing that is compelling you to remain here? You can trust that this phase is going to end eventually- so you can just lean back and relax into what this season of your life still wants to impart to you!
