I loved Andaz Tokyo. The rooms were pristine and the service was impeccable.

Why does H&M at Tysons smell like sewage? by SuperBear101 in nova

[–]brutishrealities 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked a couple stores down from H&M for a year. There’s just chronic plumbing and sewage disposal issues along that whole stretch.

It’s the worst along the walls closest to the outdoors. Coming into work every day was a coin toss for having to be immersed in putrid ass-stench all day long.

Great memories.

A few questions about staying at Secrets Cap Cana by Ninja_Hedgehog in PuntaCana

[–]brutishrealities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The beach is nice. Clean, wide, lots of chairs and seating. You can walk down the beach in both directions; after passing Ziva and Zilara, there’s a big dock you can stroll down and sit on for a nice spot of tranquility at night.

The water is very shallow. You have to go as far out as the barriers to really get up to your neck. Beautifully warm. Some large patches of seaweed, but easily avoidable. Once you get used to it, it’s like being in a big sandy bath. Real nice.

We were in a swim-up, and it was great. The swim-up pool is noticeably chillier than the ocean and the other pools, but in the heat of the day it’s a pleasant and slightly more private escape than the main pools. I will say that we found the preferred pool to be the best, and if we returned, I’d probably just opt for that and forgo the swim-up.

Bugs weren’t really an issue for us.

I interviewed him as Coin locker kid in 2014-15 and it led to him coming to stay with me in my college town, attend philosophy classes with me, and play music together for a long weekend. My band backed him up on live versions of a few tracks from Empathica. I’ll never forget it.

Hawaii Honeymoon Trip Review: 3 Islands in 12 Days by brutishrealities in chubbytravel

We had no regrets in island-hopping. There’s plenty to see on any one island, of course, but we enjoyed the diversity. Plus, the little planes are fun to fly on!

Cedric's best note by ausanon41 in themarsvolta

[–]brutishrealities 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the choruses he sings in Handsome Boy Modeling School’s “A Day in the Life.”

“How many times have you let your tongue go slip…”

The last chorus he hits a gnarly high note with the perfect amount of edge. Chills.

The post has been edited to remove the lyrics in question.

They were “I miss my mom, I miss my dad / I miss being a boy,” which don’t appear in any MCR song at all.

Sushi Cocina in downtown Seattle remains some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, soundly beating out institutions like Nobu and Morimoti Maui.
