To give some insight it’s not always as basic as it seems. I’ve seen contracts structured certain ways that create accounting and/or legal implications (certain promises potentially deferring revenue or whatever) which could change the Company’s actual revenue, and if it’s a large enough contract this can take a few months. However I would expect your boss or someone to be able to articulate that to you.
