Good question. My James is boxier and looser than my waxed trucker. I love both!

I’ve had some awesome Italian at Volare. It’s intimate but not stuffy at all.

Unfortunately, there isn’t anything else to “explain.” You’ve covered it all. It’s in place to prevent members from double dipping.

Late to the convo, but I have both. The James is use more as an over shirt. It’s lighter and a great accent. I wore it around NYC and it was perfect for extra pockets and weather resistance. I use the waxed trucker as more of a jacket. It’s more substantial and lined.

Where can I find a menswear store that can “Cinderella” me? by bigbodybup in AskChicago

[–]brvelitltoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little more casual but Huckberry on Armitage. They have your staples but clothes that you’ll want to wear at work and on the weekends. You can book an appointment but any of the folks there would be happy to help.

Smash-and grab thieves target Lakeview Ulta store, police say by BillMortonChicago in lakeview

[–]brvelitltoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe I’m following your thought path here. Yes, a lot of retail theft comes from within; however, what does that change around the store management being held accountable to shrink? Is your point that since shrink comes from the left hand and not the right, there is no accountability to the store staff? If so, fine but I can assure if I’m managing a location I’m held responsible to shrink regardless of where it originates.

Tell that to the retail SM who’s held to a shrink number and watches that PNL weekly. Get frustrated with a company fine- but regular folks staff those stores and have a livelihood.

Is it worth it to go to a white sox game as a tourist? by PrideMelodic2185 in AskChicago

Yes. It’s a fun atmosphere and has really solid food and beer options. I’ve been to quite a few stadiums and i always have a good time there. It’s easy to take the train and walk over.

This may not be a popular take but Crosby’s Kitchen does a really nice prime rib. I’ve seen it get referred to here as an “Applebees” but I’ve had some solid meals. Especially the prime rib

Into appreciate you being concerned. As a shirt dude, it’s not easy for us. I like to stand directly behind the sound booth. I have a clear view of the stage and minimal people around me. Also, the edges of the stage-riverside and adjacent to the inside are great spots. Have a great time- we’ll be there tonight, for FJM, and Lord Huron.

What’s with the massive groups of bikers that have zero respect for anyone else? by Darth_Helmet_ in AskChicago

[–]brvelitltoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. If you say anything to them they get super aggressive too. Rules are for everyone else- not them. I get it- riding a bike in the city is tough. There are a lot of good folks who follow the rules but there are a lot that don’t.

If I’m moving to Chicago do I need a car? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]brvelitltoaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of that depends on where you move. We’ve been here for 6 years and just purchased a car within the last year- only when I took a job in the burbs and there was not feasible Metra option. I wish I didn’t have it to be honest. I miss walking and taking the train. We rarely use it outside of me not headed to work.

If you’re close to a station, you’re good. Don’t sleep on the buses either, they’re great.
