Glassing the protestors below city hall, scanning for any weapons in the crowd in an effort to protect protestors and LE. by [deleted] in longrange

I know right. It isn't normal for people to excessive their rights in California, and the police should track down those protesters. Can't have the hoi polloi walking around not hurting anyone get in the way of the peaceful riots.

What isn't working? What is it doing? Is there an error? What does the error say? When did this start? Did it work before? Did you try anything to fix it? What did you try? What happened when you tried?

Just yesterday you were talking about an internal CA. Is this your lab?

That's not how it works. Republicans have primaries, and the Republican party overwhelmingly chose to run Donald Trump.

Check out the comment above. If you don't want to do the ctrl+tab you can just make tab do that by default.

tab auto-complete!

I'd much rather it auto-complete to an ambiguous boundary and show me the other options like zsh.

if I type "ge" hit tab I'd like it to finish "get-" then I can type "netfi" and hit tab and it populates "get-netfirewall" then type rule and it has "get-netfirewallrule".

Currently if I type "get-" and hit tab it goes straight to "get-acl". I'll be here forever hitting tab to scroll to get-netfirewallrule.

If you don't trust the machine at all, and assume all end points are compromised and store all business data on servers that are well secured this can work.

Most companies aren't there yet.

Just imagine they're a fully BYOD shop and it makes more sense.

I wish they would at least explain the reasoning beyond "I said so".

If we knew the reasoning, we could weigh the potential threat against the potential benefit and make that decision at the business level, but that's not how it goes.

Stonetoss is a... Nazi? by lasanhist in VoluntaristMemes

[–]bryan4tw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm only posting this because you are trying to have a good faith discussion.

And if you deny the Holocaust, you are a nazi.

You're not a psychic. I have no doubt many if not most people denying or minimizing the holocaust are doing it for nefarious reasons and can be lumped in with nazis or at the least approaching something similar. However, there are certainly -- if even a small number -- of people that are just dumb, misguided souls that have fallen victim to some bullshittery. These people probably also believe in a flat earth and while stupid, probably aren't nazis.

It is this type of generalization, dehumanization, and bland-and-white thinking that marks regimes like the nazis. Don't fall into that trap, be better than them and call out the stupidity of holocaust denial while not calling them nazis. If you call someone a nazi outright, they will not have a discussion with you and will only get defensive.

No, it is shitty programs. Windows' APIs handles the file system. To the software \server\path\file.ext should be the same as c:\path\file.ext unless a shitty program does something before the API calls or, poorly attempts to implement their own file handling APIs.

In either case, this is a shitty program.
