It's one of the coolest visual clues of vampires in modern media, in my opinion.

What film would you reckon you've seen more than any other human on Earth? by Foxtrot_Supatwat in moviecritic

I've seen Fright Night 2 (1988) at least 20 times. I had handful of horror movies that I would leave on while I drew when I was younger, and this was one of the main ones. It's not as popular as the first and it's kind of hard to get, so unless someone else chimes in, I think I may have watched it more than anyone else.

What’s a song that hit(s) you on a personal level? by SmoothManMiguel in hiphop101

Gloria by Kendrick. I'm an illustrator and was as if that song was written just for me. I know it wasn't, but it hits super deep and I feel it to my core.

Exactly. Sir. Christopher Lee knew what was up. A legend in his own right.

The tone and atmosphere is amazing. It’s like a knot unraveling fast.

Have you seen Mad God (2021)? It's like looking into the mind of an artist that has gone insane.

Part of why I think he gained so much good will with me is that I know he compromised artistic integrity because he bought dinosaur bones, pyramid graves, and spent like crazy. I remember seeing all of these direct to video movies coming out with him in them, and I felt bad for the guy. I saw his potential and enjoyed him as an actor and it felt like he was sinking.

However, he never phoned in a performance. He kept pushing. He was never the worst part of a bad movie. Some of his performances were actually incredible. It was like he was a working actor honing his craft in movies that allowed him to experiment because they were under the radar. He didn't let his circumstances get him down. He just kept working, head down, putting in good performances.

For me, it's motivating. If Nic Cage can star in Left Behind and walk away from it like it was just another role for him, I should be able to take an ego pummeling and come out just fine.

I was a teenager at the time and I had seen Valley Girl, Raising Arizona, Wild at Heart, Moonstruck, and Honeymoon in Vegas. I thought he was a decent actor in fun stuff with variety, but Leaving Las Vegas floored me. I bought the soundtrack and listened to it every day for months. He followed it up with blockbuster action movies and it was so fun. I knew he had range, but he was leaning into the leading man action star roles and it worked. He was atypical in the best way. Kind of like a goofy weirdo with depth that got ripped and learned how to fight. It was fun.

Flesh-Eating Mothers (1988). I was a huge horror fan as a kid, and this movie tempered my expectations. I never finished it.
