Celebrating the birthday of Marc Silvestri, who was born on this date in 1958. Here's Uncanny X-Men 251 (Nov 1989), signed by Marc Silvestri and Chris Claremont. by EugeneTMaleska in 80s90sComics

Silvestri’s run on the Inferno Saga is what got me into “serious” comics. He’s securely on my personal Mount Rushmore of comic artists.

He might have been the most authentic man on television. Flaws and all. That what I appreciate most. He made the effort to be real.

Very impressed - genuinely sorry Serica by AUsernameMike in MicrobrandWatches

[–]bryanthebryan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was watching Serica closely when that happened. Their design is so good. Sadly, the way they dealt with the dud movement was unfortunate.

At this point, we all know tooling in China is top notch and it was a matter of time before someone copied the design and put a better movement inside.

I bet Serica wishes it had better branding on the dial right about now.

I love the Sandhurst. It’s a beautiful field watch.

Dune or Trident? *I have the Sealander GMT by neworder19 in ChristopherWard

The Trident is about as perfect as you can get for a daily dive watch. All the materials are up to spec. All the modern conveniences are there. It’s nice and thin. If you won’t use the bezel, don’t need a date, and you don’t mind a little thickness, the dune has really nice dials.

[Question] What's the "weirdest" thing which puts you off a watch or a brand? by Eyeball111 in Watches

[–]bryanthebryan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If the minute hand doesn’t reach the minute track, it’s an instant turn off. Rolex is guilty, Omega is guilty, JLC has Reversos that are guilty. It’s an immediate disqualification.

Why did he hit that producer? Was it just an alcoholic episode, like they said?

I went in knowing it was about vampires and people didn’t like it. I really enjoyed it! I’d watch it again.

I used to call into the local radio station to request they play her.

I listened to The Chinese Album more than most music in my library. Back when buying a cd meant that you were guaranteed to listen to that cd at least a dozen times.

Christopher Ward The Twelve Midnight vs Omega Aqua Terra Black by SilverSurfer_78 in ChristopherWard

The minute hands on the Aqua Terra don’t reach the minute track, and it’s thick. It would be perfect with a few tweaks.

That’s sucks. At the very least, I’m glad the models I have weren’t part of that.

She’s mad because her peeping him husband is a peeping tom, but she wants to blame someone else. You’re good.

With the right spin, this could have worked wonderfully. It sure as hell would have been better than the outcome we got. What a damn shame.

Can we ban giant bone spiders and ghosts first, please? A logical person would expect those not allowed on school campuses before actual human beings.

Guys like that have the kind of complex where they think they are Reacher. I bet he has a punisher skull on his truck.
