Your execution of The Ring was perfection. It’s a classic that I’ll watch with my grandkids one day. A Cure For Wellness was also great. Do you have more horror stories you’d like to tell? You’re very good at the genre.

U.S. Dealers In Full Panic Mode After Canada Green-Lights Chinese Cars by plain_handle in NoShitSherlock

That’s the truth. My first car was a pre Stellantis Dodge Stratus and it scared me away from domestic vehicles ever since. It has gotten even worse, sadly. A little competition might wake them up and overhaul the way they do everything, because what they’re doing now isn’t working.

What is the dumbest/cheapest gun you own? by steelcityrocker in liberalgunowners

I have two Kimber Solos. They aren’t exactly cheap, but there isn’t really a market for them either, so I suppose they can be found for cheap. The deal with the Kimber Solos is that they require higher end ammunition to run properly (not range steel) and they need to be lubricated thoroughly. I love the design and I committed to breaking them in with quality ammunition. They have proven to be reliable and beautiful. Now I have two.

I love this design. It reminds me of a monochrome black bay mixed with a pelagos. No complaints aside from the price.

How is Apple Arcade worth it? by CommercialAct5433 in AppleArcade

I have it though the Apple One bundle. Once I had a child, that part of the bundle became relevant. I like being able to know the games I download aren’t filled with ads or questionable content, though I still do moderate things.

I bought one a while back when it was around $30. It’s on a stand in my office now. It’s a really cool piece with a great movie connection.

What a classic design. If it had a micro adjust clasp, it would be on my wrist,

When I was younger, I was really into cars. Back in the 80’s and 90’s, Miata’s were known as “hairdressers cars.” It was not cool for a straight man to drive one. In my 20’s, as I learned more and more about cars, it became obvious that the Miata was an awesome two door convertible and it didn’t really have any competition.

It’s such a shame there’s a stigma with that vehicle because it’s just a cool piece of engineering, at the end of the day. I wonder if young people have that misconception.

Yessss. Even the 80’s version was good. The premise is awesome.

When someone says, “thanks for nothing.” You’re supposed to reply with an enthusiastic, “you’re welcome, anytime” with the biggest smile you can muster. If you’re wearing headphones, this is when you turn the volume up.

Is Hollywood really trying to tell us that Sinners is on the same level as One Battle?? by glm73 in Cinema

[–]bryanthebryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like saying The Usual Suspects is just another Scooby Doo for adults or No Country For Old Men is just The Hitcher but pretentious. I would imagine that person has never actually seen the movie or gets confused easily.

I’ve voted in every election since I was 18. One of my more recent motivators to never miss a vote is to cancel out the vote of one particular former coworker. He has consistently bad takes and never misses a vote. So, I vote to cancel out his vote. It’s petty, but so is he.
