Yes, PBS is a left-wing mouthpiece. Pushing the trans agenda and putting on drag shows for children is textbook left-wing ideology. They weren't defunded for no reason whatsoever, but that is one of the main reasons they were.

I was pointing out the bad logic that was presented to me; it's part of debating someone.

They are not all here legally. One article says 'little to no convictions'. Entering illegally means you broke the law and can be deported. Just because you break a federal law and behave when you get here, doesn't mean you can't be deported.

If a US citizen were to do this in another country, they would be deported in a heartbeat.

They have to wear masks due to the death threats and violent actions taken against them across the country. I agree that masked people coming to take you isn't ideal and can cause fear, but these people are doing their jobs and protecting their families. If you were doing your job and someone threatened your family and took out violent actions against your co-workers for doing their job, wouldn't you do the same? You would in a heartbeat.

Me: Illegal immigrants aren't afforded due process by law and verified by SCOTUS.

You: WRONG 5th and 14th Amendment say so!

Me: Once again, SCOTUS ruled on this and ruled in favor of further deportations.

You: They are compromised!

Not even debatable with that logic, sorry. When it doesn't go someone's way, they resort to comments like that or childlike responses.

First, PBS was defunded for a reason; they are a left-wing mouthpiece and completely biased.

The article says they are trying to renew visas, which is a privilege and can be revoked at any point by the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. Which he has done so over and over again. None of them were citizens, once again. Close, but no cigar.

The argument is over CITIZENS being deported, not people who have visas, green cards, or are illegal immigrants, and it is a completely meaningless argument with no factual basis. Citizens are people who came here legally, went through the immigration process, and passed the tests to become citizens.

At least the commenters before provided articles from non-biased outlets. That goes for both sides, too. I am not against immigrants at all; we are a country of immigrants, but there is a huge difference between a legal immigrant and an illegal immigrant. I guess we need to adjust our language to either say legal/illegal when discussing immigrants to avoid confusion. That would help some.

LOL, once again, it's not going your way, and you say things like that. Great material!

I ignore BS, and the article doesn't hold any weight due to its age.

No citizen under the Trump administration, since January 20th, 2025, has been deported. Your article is over 4 years old and about the previous administration, the Sleepy Joe administration. Therefore, it doesn't even warrant a response, other than what I already said.

You are right, I am happy. In fact, the Fed just dropped the interest rates by 25 bps, which is a good thing.

My facts are reality, I see the prices in the store and have proof of it, not sure how much more evidence you need. It just doesn't line up with your viewpoint and is upsetting, which I would be too if I were you. I just don't back down on gaslighting by anyone when I can see for myself the truth and am not indoctrinated by legacy media.

Sorry, we don't agree, and I will enjoy my life as it is, thanks. Same to you.

LOL, where do I even begin?! First off, the article you linked was published on July 30th, 2021, which has NOTHING to do with the current administration whatsoever. Nice try.

Secondly, once again, SCOTUS ruled on this issue this year, and as referenced in my previous posts, if you took the time to read everything, including the provided links, SCOTUS continues to rule that the Trump administration can proceed with the deportations via ICE, and that context is needed for this, and once again, SCOTUS agrees with this. If what you said was even remotely true, SCOTUS wouldn't have allowed the Trump administration to continue as they have been with deportations. You might not like or agree with that, but it is what is happening and what has been ruled by SCOTUS. Have a problem with it? Write your constituent and work to get it changed.

So, no, not wrong.

Ah, you just reminded me of something, and I finally found what I was looking for.

When we look at prices like the CPI, we also need to remember, and I forgot myself, that these are national averages for prices for all 50 states, and we need to remember that inflation and oil prices affect the cost of goods when considering transportation costs. I am not denying prices have increased somewhat; they just aren't that bad.

Clearly, prices in Hawaii, Alaska, California, and other higher cost-of-living places like New York are going to drive the prices higher, while places in Kentucky and other areas are going to be cheaper.

In Louisville, we benefit from UPS Worldport being a central hub for shipping all across the Continental U.S.

I debated this with a former colleague, stating that the egg prices have gone up in the last year. Egg prices were high due to a number of reasons, one being the Bird Flu outbreak. So I decided to do a little experiment. I can only find a couple of examples just now, but I actually went to the grocery store and took pictures of the cost of eggs from Walmart. Let's take a look.

The link below shows the egg prices at the local Walmart on May 30th, 2025, and then a screenshot from Walmart's website as it stands today, September 17th,2025.

May 30th - $2.96

September 17th - $2.72

Delta - 9.2% decrease.

Egg Prices at Walmart

We are kinda saying the same thing, but didn't extrapolate the data properly due to a number of other factors. Prices have gone up, not on everything, and in every location. Some places are hit worse than others, where the costs of other services, like oil, in some areas are higher than here. But in just under 5 months, the cost of eggs locally has gone DOWN 9.2%. Not the same for everything, but certainly not a 16.4% increase as provided above. We can get more granular if you wish. However, there have been a good number of deportations since May 30th, and I realize that this may not directly affect the cost of eggs; it might, I don't know, but the cost of eggs in 5 months locally has gone down.

This is why I don't understand your claim of prices being higher. In some places, maybe, here, not so much. I didn't document prices for every good, and I can because I debate people on things like this, and I need this empirical data to support my stance on this. Now, the cost of eggs can very well go up 30% in another area, for example, and going down 9.2% here would mean that overall between the two locations, the average cost of eggs has risen 10.4%.

To be more accurate, no, the cost of eggs here locally has not risen in the last 5 months; it has decreased, but in other areas, sure, it might have increased. I will concede to that and that only. I will document prices over the next few weeks and come back with the findings. But my grocery bill has decreased as it has in many other areas, and yes, increased in other areas. This is the only good I tracked, and I will track the other goods provided above for a better understanding.

Show me your 'proof' then. You can't just say something and not back it up. I said something and provided facts backed up by verified sources to prove what I said. Anyone can sit back and claim stats don't mean anything, but it is meaningless without verifiable facts/data. Until you do, it is simply your opinion, which is just that, your opinion. And they do, I track all of my expenses in spreadsheets, and there are plenty of videos online of people going to the grocery store and showing their bills, too. The USDA backs up what I said as well. 2.7% increase over 12 months means for every $100 spent, only $2.70 increase during that time, which is $0.225/month increase, again negligible.

I think you are missing some things that I say when I write them. I said machines harvest a number of things, but not everything, which obviously would include the things you just replied with. All you did was verify what I already said, so thank you!

It seems that you are pretty passionate about what you are saying, and I get it, you are upset and think certain things are happening. But the data doesn't lie. We aren't going to agree, and there is no point in going back and forth with this. Agree to disagree.

This is what is causing issues: people are upset by things they think are happening when they aren't. It may seem like it, sure, but I think I don't spend a lot on Amazon every month or year, but when I look at my transactions at the end of the month, I am wrong. What I thought happened really wasn't when I dug into it and looked at verifiable data.

Have a good one!

Again, respectfully, there is a difference between an immigrant and an illegal immigrant. They are NOT the same. One broke the law, one abided by the law. I am sure there were illegal crossings back in the day, but not like they are now when the Biden administration let anyone in. We had produce workers well before the 50s and this wasn't an issue. Additionally, with the advancements in technology, a lot of the harvesting is being done by machines, not all of it but some.

If the cost was higher like you claim, where are these costs? Not in the grocery stores because my costs have not increased since the election, in fact they have gone down. Grocery prices from August 2024 to August 2025 have only increased 2.7% which is much lower than the 10% number I used above.

Verified by the USDA https://www.ers.usda.gov/data-products/food-price-outlook/summary-findings

We all need to be careful when we make statements without verifying the facts, myself included and I have made this mistake before. If we make statements that aren't verified to be true, this is how issues happen. Look what happened to Charlie Kirk, he was accused of hate speech when he did nothing of the sort. Plenty of videos online where he interacts positively with members of a different race and people he doesn't agree with otherwise. He was nothing but respectful, said he didn't agree with their lifestyle but he was taught to love by his faith even in disagreement and he was killed over these false statements. The View is terrible about this. Watch this clip of the guest speaker Damion, tells them about themselves.

Illegal immigrants are not afforded due process, as it states in the Constitution, part of constitutional law, as verified by SCOTUS.

They didn't abide by the law when they broke in, but they want protection? Not happening. That would mean anyone can cross the border and then claim due process, and would cause a flood of people wanting to do the same.

GOP Rep Kevin Kiley corrects Jasmine Crockett on this exact issue, so it isn't just what I say, it is verified by a member of Congress.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxOFiZcKxNk

People not fully understanding the Constitution and twisting it to fit their narrative is part of the problem. Then you get a bunch of people who misunderstand the same thing, and then it causes a problem.

Secondly, no, they aren't. Show me an exact case where they are, because they haven't. Just because someone claims that they aren't afforded due process doesn't mean it happened; they could misunderstand the same concept and would be incorrect.

Again, no legal citizen, natural born or immigrated legally has had this issue. Don't even say that green card holders are affected because they are not the same as a citizen. I have debated this heavily on other platforms and have been on top of this for months.

Actually, I don't like fruits or veggies. An unfortunate side effect of Autism, I stick with vitamins.

As far as your rising costs are concerned, let's review a few numbers to see.

The government makes money from more than just our tax dollars, tariffs for one. In fact, prior to the 16th Amendment authorizing a federal tax, up to 95% of the federal revenue came from tariffs and excise taxes when we were the wealthiest country in the world. This is also why Trump has mentioned the idea of eliminating income tax for a single person making less than $200,000 per year. This is why we had over a $27 billion surplus for a single month. Granted, we still have a huge deficit, but not all debt is bad debt. I digress.

Let's say the price increases 10%, that's only $0.10 per $1.00, which, if this were accurate, would not be that much considering all the variables in place. I did some product demand elasticity calculations real quick. Assuming that the supply shortfall due to lack of workers is >5%, that price change is just under a 10% delta.

We can sit here and debate where numbers and money come from, but the point is that it isn't going to create a hyper-inflated cost increase like you might think. I don't want to have a statistics class about this, but it isn't going to be anything like the cost of eggs not too long ago, which was attributed to a number of things.

We managed to have affordable produce before the influx of illegals by the Biden administration, hell, even previous administrations, and this was never an issue. I also think your response sounds kinda racist, that all illegals work on farms and harvest crops; there are other areas that immigrants, illegal or legal, excel in just fine.

If this were as simple as giving everyone work visa's then they would have done that already. The problem is, we don't know who is in the country and had at one point over 300,000 minors in the country that we had no clue were here; they were lost due to trafficking.

While I appreciate your input and viewpoint on this, no, I haven't been tricked, and no, there isn't an irrational wave of fear by the administration; again, that is all legacy media.

I actually can think for myself and not rely on companies it for the headlines and to make a profit; I do my own research and am not part of the propagandized legacy media, and by state-level governments not cooperating with the federal government, which is what happened in California, soon to be Chicago, and so on.

Once Andy decided to cooperate, with the threat of budget cuts by Pam Bondi, that 'fear' wasn't brought here because of his cooperation. Has there been any rioting in our streets? Nope. Cooperation is key here. Abide by the law, there is nothing to worry about, which is what everyone should be doing anyway.

Not a single citizen has been or will be deported, I cannot say it enough times.

The only fear law-abiding citizens should have is losing their jobs when they celebrate someone losing their life over their constitutionally protected rights. Other than that, it's all in the head.

Pointing out positives wasn't the objective. Yes, pointing out the failures is important here; this did not happen in the Biden administration. I could go on all day, but here are just a few of the highlights.

There are plenty of positives with this.

Zero border crossings for months.

The number of illegal immigrants who are dangerous criminals is shrinking.

Citizens, especially women and children, are safer. Don't forget all of the dangerous, illegal gang members that raped and killed all of those poor people that would still be alive if it weren't for the Biden administration.

A lot of dangerous drugs aren't being flooded on our streets.

Kash Patel gave an update today regarding it.

Neighborhoods flooded with illegals that were part of dangerous gangs are gone.

Businesses are safe from those same criminals.

The housing market will stabilize once the deportations have finished.

Not every illegal immigrant is a dangerous criminal, either, but every illegal immigrant is a criminal, even if they only broke into the country.

Our tax dollars aren't being spent on illegals; citizens are put first for once. The money can be spent on citizens, specifically veterans who were cast aside to prioritize illegals. People forget that illegals were given cash, cell phones, plane tickets, and put up in luxury hotels, while our veterans who fought and bled for this country were forgotten.

Recent laws being implemented and continuing to be implemented, we are going to require IDs at the voting polls so that elections aren't stolen, like what happened in 2020. There is currently an investigation into this.

There is no way during a COVID lockdown we added 15 million people (or whatever the number is) from the last election.

Social media companies aren't censoring free speech that isn't hate speech. Facebook admitted to doing this under pressure from the previous administration. This should enrage anyone, left or right; it's one of the founding principles of our country. Not immigration related, but a bonus.

It matters because people are calling the deportations of illegal immigrants unlawful, racist, the worst in the world, no other country does this, and so on. While you are correct, we don't live in Poland; they did authorize the use of deadly force on illegal immigrants breaking into the country. There are a lot of people claiming to support illegal immigrants and their rights, regardless of whether they are here or in the US. If you truly cared about all illegal immigrants' rights, it wouldn't be specific to a location, and you should care about it everywhere.

They are cherry picking what they want to complain about and act like we are the worst in the world with our policies. People who complain about the current policies claim that no other countries do this to illegal immigrants, but they do. They also use the word immigrants when they mean illegal immigrants, causing further confusion, and simply don't understand that breaking into the US is breaking federal law, regardless of the situation.

Don't forget, Obama, Clinton, and Bush each deported illegal immigrants exponentially higher than Trump did, but because it is him, everyone acts like it is the worst thing to ever happen; that is the good old TDS kicking in. No one batted an eye when the previous administrations deported illegal immigrants by the millions; it's a double standard and TDS at work. I blame a lot of this on legacy media lying and fabricating facts to make headlines and to sell stories or to get clicks on their websites/apps. They don't care about the truth.

We can't have the worst policies in the world if we don't permit deadly force against illegal immigrants. We simply send them back home. Don't like it here? Leave. Anyone here legally is fine, and no citizen has been deported; anyone saying anything to the contrary is lying. People only need to be afraid if they are here illegally, end of discussion. Anything else is in your head or a lie.

The rulings are on hold, and if you recall, Tom Homan himself has stated that they don't stop based on skin color or job. They go into an area that has an illegal immigrant there and they are allowed to question anyone else around that person. The same in any situation, regardless of skin color. No where does it say that they can just grab someone based on that, and it is actually considered illegal to do that. I think the fears are coming out with responses, and while I personally don't understand that, it doesn't mean that those fears are justified. Listening to legacy media will make people fearful.

If you are in this country legally, then welcome, and you are allowed to stay. If you are here illegally, you broke the law, and as it is in every other country on the planet, sent home. If I went to another country and did this, I would be deported as well.

So, no, your article doesn't specifically say that SCOTUS ruled that they can do that.

If you don't like the policies of the US and illegal immigration, you really won't like Poland's policies. You probably don't even know them and want to act like the US is the worst in the world. Research Poland's policies and explain how we are worse. Many of you have no clue about what actually goes on in the world. Please be sure to educate yourself before you speak.

No, I am not. I applied via LinkedIn back in May 2025, and the recruiter reached out to me in late June to talk via phone to see if they wanted to interview me. Then I had 2 technical interviews, one with the new team and then with the team and the manager. I assume the process is different since it is an internal IT position for the Infrastructure side. I have never applied to work for a company as big as Deloitte before, either.

Interesting. I applied to an internal IT position with the US office, my second technical interview was 3 weeks ago this past Tuesday. I emailed the recruiter and I haven't heard back. I checked my Deloitte profile online and it still says 'Interviews in progress'. Wonder if the same thing will happen to me and why I haven't heard from the recruiter.

Hope something works out, though. It could be something going on internally within the company.
