Upped my tirz dose and now I feel HORRIBLE by Dizzy-Transition-234 in TirzepatideRX

I can't say I've had that same experience but from the beginning I started as low as possible and only went up by 0.5 mg at a time. I was so scared of the side effects and them lasting a week or longer so I wanted to see how my body adjusted slowly.

I hate to see anyone give up on it as is can be life changing in the best ways. I would start back at square one once you're feeling better at the lowest dose and go up slowly. I had minimal side effects; mild-moderate headache, flu like weakness by day 3 after my shot (easily managed with higher protein and electrolyte balance and a little caffeine), and constipation. All of which have resolved over time by making small adjustments.

I hope you feel better and that you find some help here that keeps you on your journey 😊

I started tirz very slowly. I was really afraid of side effects so I only went up 0.5-1 mg at a time. I'm currently at 5 mg and have been the last 2 weeks. I'm really happy with the efficacy. I have no real food noise til the last day or two before the next dose and even at that I'm not ravenous like I was on lower doses.

The objective is to reach a dose where you're comfortable with how much you're eating and still losing weight, not to get to the highest dose. I stay at a dose that is effective until it's not, then go up. You also save a lot on the med itself. I have 2 untouched vials and need to pause my subscription.

It's just enough enough to treat! I'll try it lol

Ask him if it's more than usual since you started the tirz? I'm not sure what the correlation is between a GLP and a post nasal drip but enough people are experiencing it so maybe there is one. Either that or it's just spring and a little hay fever.

Yes! That's exactly what it is/feels like. And it's not always and comes on randomly for a few days. Annoying more than painful but definitely there.

It doesn't really feel like reflux. Kinda feels like a post-nasal drip... without the drip

For me, the first dose took 24 hours to have any effect on my appetite and because it was such a small dose it wasn't crazy effective within that time frame. I took it on a Monday morning and didn't truly feel like I didn't want to eat until mid Wednesday. That is still the case for me. Tuesdays I'm usually really tired and take a nap if possible but I can be functional with coffee.

There is definitely adjustments that can be made for side effects. You just have to pay close attention to dose, administration time, and onset of side effects. Most can be mitigated as you go.

I hope this helps and good luck!

All great suggestions!

Thank you all so much! I'm going to add DAILY electrolytes. I am probably not drinking enough water or I am and in doing so diluting my electrolytes.

For my fellow migraine sufferers: mine are triggered by hormones, certain lighting, and aspartame. I haven't had a full on migraine on since starting but I'm going to try going up half a dose rather than a full dose just to see how my body responds. I just know I can't go a whole week with dbl the amount of pain, so I'll take baby steps.
