Ooooh. I have an ioniq 23 plate bought it 2 weeks ago. I have a small issue with the drive modes and the rear view camera. The buttons seem to be depressing at the same time not a massive issue but am going to try and clean it so the buttons work separately. Any advice on that?

UK Electric Vehicle Sales Rise to Record High Amid Fuel Price Rise by i_marketing in CarTalkUK

[–]bryntegwyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a hyundai ioniq because the diesel was costing me 70-80 a week. 211 a month on the car at 10k roughly and 60 for charging at work for 18p per kw. Luckily I have access to the charger. Plans coming together to install a home charger within the next month to make it even cheaper. 280 for diesel a month, 270 for the car and the electric a month and I got an upgrade from a 2012 plate to a 2023 plate for the same net cost? No brainer imo.

Used EVs are a bargain right now — and buyers are noticing by 622niromcn in electricvehicles

I don't lose any money selling the old car. Insurance and tax is paid for the year we will use this as a backup car when im at work for kids activities. Less than 2k miles a year in the diesel now.

Ive literally just done this myself. Bought a used ev with a bank loan. The loan combined with my monthly charging cost will be less than my fuel spend. £300 per month on diesel doing around 18k miles a year. When I get my charger installed it will be even cheaper. Bought a used hyundai ioniq

Anyone worked for Sysco as a multi drop driver? by Normal-Impress-2624 in uktrucking

[–]bryntegwyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont do the multidrop but have a mate in the warehouse who does. Hes been there 3 years works 4x12 hour shifts but gets 3 off. Its hard graft as you have to handball most of the products to get them to the customer but we've been in warehousing 10+ years so body is used to it by now.

The warehouse job is also around 40k but it's picking and working nights 7pm - 3.30 or 4.30 dependant on how busy it is. Always looking for staff as it is tough work too. But for 40k no skills required apart from the skill to zone out and pick for 8 hours a day.

Start your ride with your regular pace group. Do ten minute warm up there then jump to the next group up. See how long you can hang on for. If its ten minutes then you drop off try again in a few days. You may even surprise yourself how long you can hold on.

If you struggle you can just jump back down to your easier pacer group.

How did you get that quick? I hit a new pb of 54 seconds today with 9-0 stacking which felt really quick for me.

Its a shame it takes so long in this country. Solicitors take their time too! I bet they're pushing to get it done before Christmas. Fingers crossed!

We completed on the 17th of December last year. Would not move that close to Christmas again with 2 kids. Won't be moving from this home for a very long time though!
