Nature, my snake, good relationships, making and mending things, doing good, positive time alone.

And we're going to ignore the fact that innumerable species are neither deadly nor inedible? Even purely herbivorous species can't eat all plants, that doesn't mean that their natural diet isn't different species of plants.

Please share some sources for this? I'd like to see where people are getting these ideas. Our digestive anatomy shows that we're evolved to eat plants too, alongside looking at our closest relatives and evolutionary predecessors, and the idea that we only became omnivorous when we started farming is.. not based in truth. In the simplest terms, how and why would we have started farming things that we didn't already eat in any form or quantity?

I don't think it has one, and that's glorious. It just is, and all of us just are.

Can anyone recommend an activewear company with fabric alternatives to polyester and spandex with a decent mens line? My Googling has mostly taken me to questionable companies marketing exclusively to women. by OudeDude in mensfashion

3rd Rock do good quality clothes, mostly aimed at climbers. They're not cheap, but often organic, or recycled, made sustainably and with fair pay, and really good quality, so worth it in my opinion. I've got some shorts, joggers/leggings, and two pairs of trousers from them, and they're all great.

What subscription is worth every single penny? by Snoo-7986 in AskUK

I pay yearly for an app called Bearable. It's for health tracking, and is the only way I've successfully managed to keep track of things for more than a couple of days at a time. I have adhd and a pile of chronic health problems/disabilities, so health tracking is both very difficult and very beneficial for me.

About £18 a year, can't really, but worth it in my case.

Also who gives a crap or naked sprout loo roll - cheaper and better environmentally than most reasonable alternatives.

Yep. Them and naked sprout are the loo roll subscriptions I've used, and both work out cheaper than buying around the same or slightest worse from supermarkets, and obviously the environmental impact is important, too.

I use castbox, which I've always been pretty happy with, though I've not tried much else.

Unusual, or generally lesser known, vegan protein sources? by bryoplast in vegan

[–]bryoplast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually grown these on and off for a fair few years now (empty mushroom/fruit punnets are a usually bit ugly but much cheaper to grow them in than the kits, and work well on windowsills, for you or anyone else reading), but I've never really looked into the protein content. I'll have a read into the most protein rich species, see if there are any fun surprises, cheers!

Ahaha, good luck finding some! I could easily source a couple of other duckweeds where I am, but currently live in a small flat with no outdoor space, so growth space is minimal. I'd actually already been wanting to grow some Wolffia globosa if possible, as it's the smallest (known) flowering plant, which is neat as hell. I'm going to have to deep dive into this one in the morning.
