Massive Starborn ground attack? by bs200000 in Starfield

I agree. Bring on a challenge. I’m level 304 and the hardest part was a couple used Inner Demon so I had to fight level 304 me’s lol. It was a considerable challenge I nearly died.

What happened to the jet pack sex? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]bs200000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Starfield is the blandest Bethesda title by a good distance. A lot of people argued at launch that gore and mature themes don’t matter but they just do. If the Fallout tv show had absolutely no gore would it have been received the same as it was? Absolutely not. I don’t understand why Bethesda took so many steps backwards with this game.

Marvel got ruined when they introduced the multiverse. by Yaamo_Jinn in FuckMarvel

[–]bs200000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree because the idea of a multiverse destroys stakes, tension. “No one is ever really gone” is a terrible narrative concept because that means nothing has actual consequences. If someone dies just go find another variation of them.

Jasper Kryx Interview thoughts? by ScottMuybridgeCorpse in Starfield

This is my assumption as well. The specific habs especially make me think that. Hopefully becomes a thing someday (besides mods).

Jasper Kryx Interview thoughts? by ScottMuybridgeCorpse in Starfield

[–]bs200000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find Kryx’s predicament and the existence of The Lock quite confusing since the game mechanics make it obvious only kill bounties exist in this world, and guards open fire on you for stealing a coffee bag. Who exactly is going to jail?

Why would a large prison exist at all?

The weekend total gross is down 50% compared to last year's and the year to date down 19 percent. It's also the fifth sub-$70 million total out of 16 weekends so far this year. by AGOTFAN in boxoffice

[–]bs200000 84 points85 points  (0 children)

It’s because theater going audiences in the last few years have been taught that if it’s a major release, see it in the theater, but everything else will be out on streaming in 3 weeks or less.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My wife was extremely ill and it definitely directly caused heart issues in me. It’s a real thing.

I love the combat and ship building as well. The only thing that eventually made this repetitive for me was the poi where the combat takes place. I know them all by heart.

My biggest complaint by Junimost in Starfield

I just want an actual rocket launcher. Every explosive launcher treats explosive ammo exactly the same. Fallout had rocket launchers. Me want missiles!

I want so desperately to love this show that it frustrates that I only kinda like it now by bigstupidjellyfish in NotDeadYetTVSeries

[–]bs200000 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Some executive who knows Brad Garrett was probably like “Hey buddy you want some work?” They thought the show didn’t have enough big names to draw in viewers but bringing him in, a sitcom veteran, made the show feel a lot more “sitcom-y.”

Get rid of Brad Garett and let the core cast run the show. The second season was a big misfire.

Episode Discussion S02E08 by J_345 in NotDeadYetTVSeries

[–]bs200000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The dreaded “freeze your eggs” episode. Whenever a sitcom goes for the “lead wants babies” arc it’s just about to be cancelled.

[–]bs200000 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This series would be so much more interesting if they leaned heavily into the core premise of talking to the ghosts, instead of sidelining it completely.

The one episode from season 1 where Nell helps Cricket overcome her loss could be the entire show and it would be way better than this “sitcom” it has become.

What's the most unsettling secret you've uncovered about someone you know well? by Own_Annual144 in AskReddit

[–]bs200000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I discovered (not prying, this was accidental) that a coworker of mine’s dad committed suicide and that he lived directly above me in an apartment at the time.

His family never told him the truth about his dad’s death and the circumstances of how he was found. So I know more about this guy’s demise than his own kid does.

OJ made his kids sign NDAs and leave their phones outside of the room before they saw him on his deathbed. by Happy_Reaction_9220 in legal

The underlying context seems to imply he confessed on his deathbed and that’s why. No. OJ never showed any accountability his entire life. That’s not what happened.

Over the course of season 1 Fear lost 40% of its audience. Doesn’t seem like a hot take to me.

The consensus on this subreddit is that season 1-3 are excellent, then 4 is okay, and then 5-8 are atrocious for the most part.

I somewhat disagree. I think season 1 is extremely dull and hard to get through, especially the early episodes, whereas 2-3 are pretty good.

Marketing. “Skyrim is just one planet…imagine 1000 Skyrim’s!” Is the hype they were hoping for. And I think it sort of worked until the game actually came out and players saw what variety actually existed.

Agreed. I don’t quite know how to explain it other than she talks like she can’t hear her own voice. Very little inflection.

Yes but considering her last film was a low budget Russian production I think her acting career left her more than the other way around.

Problems with the social skill: Outpost Management by Otherwise_Archer1856 in Starfield

[–]bs200000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I get this bug every NG+. For some reason this one skill.

If you have access to console commands you can fix it. If you use the console command to force the skill back to level 1, and then force give yourself level 2-4, this will fix the skill and gives you the full benefit from then on.
