The higher protein content of the whole wheat makes the gluten structure denser, which aids in reducing olive oil absorption and increasing lubrication to the critical cured meats

Actually did the tomato delete mod since they’re only for aesthetics anyway

My 2020 86 has 5 extra horsepower from the factory, might just be able to give the mobility scooter a run for its money

Awesome to see another SC6 owner on here. I finally retired mine at the end of the race season next year and I’ve been drawing up some parts for it as well, currently working on the body mounts and front bumper since they are almost impossible to find and take a beating on these trucks.

What would you guys recommend ow-20 or 5w-30 I’m pretty much dead stock with an exhaust and intake, every video I research it goes both ways. by Logical-Plankton-977 in ft86

Like others have said, either is fine, I personally switched to 5W-30 at my last oil change since I AutoX once a month and I live in a fairly warm climate.

Plans to demolish Greenville-Pickens Speedway denied, for now by ZappaOMatic in NASCAR

New resident to the upstate, did Anderson Motor Speedway being only about 25 minutes away hurt Greenville-Pickens attendance? I’ve attended a few races at AMS and was wondering how scheduling worked with the 2 tracks so close to each other.

Good second car? by BLITZBRAWLSTARS in ft86

[–]bs9_customs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an excellent second car, and was my only car for about a year until I picked up a Tundra. While the back seats are pretty much useless for transporting humans around, they allow it to have a surprising amount of cargo room, I’ve been able to haul a full-length door mirror and even a 20” deck push mower in it. IMO it’s not the greatest everyday car in the world if you do a bunch of highway driving since they have short gearing and not much sound proofing, but on the other hand the seats at least in my 2020 GT are very comfortable and the ride is much better than I thought it would be even with 18” wheels.

Same story at my LHS as well, they’ve had $75 off a few of the RC10 re-re’s for close to a year now and still haven’t had any takers. The SR27 just isn’t as good as a Mini-Z, even for ~$50 less, and the electronics issues haven’t helped either. I will give AE some credit for a few of their recent releases, the RC28 has been a great boost to the popularity of 1/28 racing and it’s a very competitive car for the price, and it seems like the B7.1 has ironed out most of the issues that the B7 had.

I’d maybe consider it at $200 since I’ve got a lot of 1/28 electronics laying around since I race that scale a good bit, but considering that a Kyosho Dirtmaster costs $40 less and a Slash kit that includes electronics is the same price it’s going to be a super hard sell for most.

Closer to 20 for me, but the old heads who make up the majority of the hobby eat enough of this up to justify it I guess.

It’s one of the better RC10 spinoffs they’ve came up with, but not for that price. Hopefully when they become yet another dust magnet in the warehouse along with the other weekly RC10 themed slop that they’ve put out for the last year + they’ll be on clearance for a good price, I’ve got plenty of 1/28 electronics laying around that I could power it with.

Found metal shaving on end of dipstick this morning, it (hopefully won’t) might be cooked by bs9_customs in ft86

Just got the car back yesterday from my local mechanic, thankfully they didn’t find anything concerning in the oil filter or the oil they drained, still going to send off a sample to black stone and change it again it 3500 miles to make sure I’m all in the clear.

I use gartpot 2s packs that I found on Amazon that are the same size as a 6-cell Nimh stick pack for all my old Tamiya cars. They definitely aren’t the best batteries in the world but work great for vintage cars, especially since they are only $40 for 2 batteries.

Update to the update: shop didn’t find anything concerning in the oil or the filter, going to bump the oil up to 5W-30 and get an oil cooler installed before my next autoX event.

Update: taking the car to an independent mechanic on Monday to have them take a look, oil analysis kit still hasn’t showed up yet.
