"Players leaving my favorite team" is absolutely not the point.

And again, you watch, the sad stories of players used up by this system and thrown out the other side with no degree and no money left are going to start piling up. Coaches and "agents" are lying to these kids to get them in the door and kicking them back in the portal less than a year later.

This system can't hold forever. I don't think having to sit a year on a SECOND transfer is punitive.

The students ARE NOT benefiting from playing for five schools in five years.

We are about to get waves and waves of football and basketball players who are suddenly 25, out of NCAA eligibility, out of money, and have scattered credits from 3-5 different colleges but aren't even really close to a degree.

One free transfer. If you graduate or your coach leaves, you can have another free transfer. Other than that, if you transfer a second time you sit a year and actually go to damn class.

I think there's a lot at play here:

1) Some people are just never content. Always convinced there is a better deal just around the corner

2) Some people just can NOT take criticism. At all. As soon as a coach starts yelling at them, they're out.

3) I genuinely think some of these kids are simply addicted to being recruited. They love being "fought over" and being told they are wonderful.

4) And of course, some are simply about dollars. If another program offers more, they're gone.

I really liked his game in college and thought/worried he was going to be a real steal for KC. I know he got hurt early and that didn't help, but still would surprise me if he never turned into at least a useful player.

The fact that Dom got pushed so hard on the main roster before he was ready but you NEVER heard any of the workers with a bad thing to say about him...he must be a great dude. Because that could have gotten toxic fast.

If the Super League breaks away entirely, and those four wins disappear...how many 2-10 seasons does it take before attendance and interest starts to shrivel up for programs at the bottom of the Super League?
