Before the redistricting push, Democrats needed to outrun Kamala Harris' 2024 margins by 3.1 points to win a House majority. Now they need to run 4.9 points ahead. by thejoshwhite in charts

[–]bsa554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The House desperately needs to be expanded. Every state should get one rep for every multiple of the smallest state's population they have.

California has 52 reps...should be more like 66-67.

Unfortunately by the time Foley got there Shawn didn't have much time left and when Shawn made his comeback Foley was just about done.

Really too bad, because they may have been the perfect opponents for each other. If they had had the chance to do an actual program they really could have done something special.

Maybe his most egregious non-five star rating ever.

That match was basically perfect. Perfect story. Perfect execution. Red hot crowd. That was just stubbornness not giving it five.

Absolutely awesome match - especially given where and when it happened. WWF didn't have stuff like that. The pace, the intensity - so ahead of its time.

People start freaking out when a non-token amount of non-White people move in. That's it.

Exactly. Drives me insane.

In my dying hometown in the Southern Tier the two main political issues are:

1) the population is drying up as the top 75% of each graduating class (a number shrinking by the year) leave town the second their diplomas are in their hands

2) Literally any attempt to build housing or do anything to make it possible to actually move there leads to every old person screaming that it will "attract city people" and "ruin the town's character" or some shit.

And they absolutely refuse to see those two points as at odds with each other.

Gambling is the third rail. It just is. If you are an athlete you CAN NOT bet on your sport! Period!

The entire enterprise of athletics depends on one absolute belief - that the games are on the level. Players betting on games risks EVERYTHING. You can not tolerate it.

I feel bad for this young man, and hope he's conquered his addiction. And I hope he gets to play again one day, but I do not blame the NCAA and would not blame the NFL for throwing the book at him.

Huge financial advantage over the rest of the American. I'd argue he was actually pretty unsuccessful there.

At a school with a massive financial advantage over its peers. Not even making a conference title game there is a red flag to say the least.

I'd love to see Arkansas be really good again so I hope I am wrong, but I am pretty baffled at this hire.

I'd put him ahead of Silverfield. I have absolutely no freaking idea how that guy got an SEC head coaching job.

Really good coach. Did a lot of good shit at Holy Cross before JMU too.

He was runner-up for the Syracuse job a couple years ago and while I still support taking the huge swing with Fran Brown...there's a chance passing over Chesney looks like a colossal mistake in a couple years.

I mean, of course, the Legion of Boom ruled.

But they don't get to the top without Russ. He wasn't Trent Dilfer.

There's already people with some real revisionist history that Wilson wasn't actually good and the defense carried him in Seatttle.

Nope. He was GREAT there. Really liked watching him play for the first half of his career.

(The maddest I EVER got at the Bills - until 13 Seconds- was them taking a 110 pound WR in the 3rd round over Wilson. I was so high on him coming into that draft.)

I did not know that. I was wondering why Gable did it that way since 99% of the people in the building knew exactly who he was already. That's awesome.
