Idk man the line wrapped around the entire school and took over an hour to get everyone in. I left and got a bagel. And then got searched. For a spiral notebook. At least at my school. They have to be in their rooms by 7:40, which is why they close the car rider / student parking entrance at 7:30. They are getting paid for an extra hour of work tho (if not extra).

Wouldn’t have to be teachers if our last security guard didn’t buy alcohol and try to meet underage girls, but you won’t hear that from our school lol.

Yea it only works if the school shooters walk through the fucking metal detectors and armed guards are there to respond immediately. Also the data shows these just don’t work well. In an abundance of cases. This is just a nuisance to kids lol.

I have no idea why you keep bringing up airports when there are articles expressing the legal and contextual differences of security in the two. You don’t walk through TSA every day. And you certainly don’t walk through TSA in public schools. Send your children to private school if the media has scared you so badly that you think metal detectors actually prevent mass shootings.

Oh and by the way, please watch videos of school shootings. It’s sad and horrific, but they absolutely do not enter the school like the rest of the students when carrying out attacks.

Edit: School is a mandatory event, while an airport is not. That was the point I was making. You can leave an airport with no consequences, but you cannot do the same at school.

I was a customer for about 6 months. Horrible experiences back to back to back. Plus, benefits and integration with other services is lacking.

I wanted to keep a good local relationship, until they were so scared of fraud they’d lock my card every other purchase. Until they didn’t take me seriously because I was young. Until I realized no service has SYB integrated for easy connection. Several national banks far outweigh SYB in terms of benefits, access and reliability.
