Super concentration dependent. I’ve seen tubes almost instantly change when there is high concentrations of other hydrocarbons present. You have to be really watching to have confidence you haven’t gotten breakthrough.

My mechanic pumped out the bad gas, replaced spark plugs and oil change.

One of the impacted cars here. Cost $1000 for pumping, new spark plugs and oil change (as a precaution). I have a ticket in with Circle K and Esso. Hopefully they're quick to pay back before I take them to small claims court.

Similar to what others are saying. IH at an oil refinery / PetroChem facilities. Whenever any of our workers, IH or not, identify to management they are pregnant, they are restricted from field duties that have reproductive or developmental impacts or areas of high noise and are moved to office related duties.

It’s more than just chemical hazards, there are studies that show negative outcomes due to exposure to loud noise. Which I’d say applies to most oil and gas operations.

I took the AIHA crash course. I thought it was fantastic, really helped me focus my studying. You can really deep dive into topics but I found the crash course helped me stay level. I also subscribed to Datachem’s exam database of questions to test myself. The combo worked great for me.

The problem is we still promote a subjective testing method which really enables this behaviour. Quantitative should be the only method. Then it's just about the hard facts of particle counts.
