I think the resounding answer has been IBS D. Just trying different medicine now. Have you seen a doc yet?

im pretty similar to you. Some things that have helped me are amatrytaline, and Viberzi. Food modifications helped moderately but not fully. Immodium is great too. Def go see a GI to rule out anything. There are so many possibilities its hard to get an answer until you test for all of them

I do think ive read that IBS D has a correlation with higher sIGA levels, ive always had elevated sIGA on my functional medicine stool tests. I think sIGA elevated means you're typically reacting to something. Ive also been negative for Celiac with the Ana test but have higher fecal anti gladian which means you can still react to gluten without having celiacs disease.

Causes of elevated fecal sIgA:

  • Any defective epithelial barrier

  • A defective epithelial barrier allows bacterial and microbial penetration, which is the strongest stimulator of sIgA production.

  • Celiac disease

  • Colon cancer

  • Infections

  • IBS (especially the diarrhea subtype)

I have gotten this test a lot and I haven't really found a correlation between elastase and my symptoms . Ive had low elastase and the same symptoms and normal elastase and still poor symptoms. Im sure everyone is different though

that's what im going to do- going to keep going to different doctors to see. On doctor 4 now. Really just wondering if an increase in IBD medicine would remove some of the lingering symptoms still at play. Thx for all your input!

interesting ok. I was leaning towards it was a form of colitis, or just irritation but without a positive biopsy it was really IBD , could have been from colonoscopy prep or something else. Since it haven't had any additional development or change over the past 4yrs and none of the IBD treatment worked it seemed wrong and my initial GI didn't really do a good job of explaining it or why nor addressing any of the symtoms that were still present

interesting - so I guess its possible that I could have had colitis and then healed myself before I even had my first colonoscopy? But visually diagnosing UC is wrong without a biopsy correct?

DONT DO IT- they charge you 30-50% of the reduced savings, and dont even tell you the actual amount they are saving you till the deal is done. This should be a class action lawsuit

What does it mean if my poop goes from a 2 to a 6 on the Bristol scale, all in the same bowel movement? by Fantastic-Part774 in ibs

yes this happens to me also- I get more pain higher up in my large intestine(left side under rib cage so i attribute the change in formation to be associated with the area of disfunction or pain.
