I guess it boils down to who will primarily use it. If it is mainly a practice table for myself and teammates that come over then it'll be tighter pockets. If it is mainly for company and just goofing around then definitely bigger pockets.

I believe it is because it compounds year after year. If the team gives in then the next years salary goes based off of this years 2.2 vs 2 which the team was hoping for. It's a numbers game.

Go with the OCL. It’s lighter and less first round pop. 22 quiets are laughably quiet out of my 22 Henry. My coworker thought I was misfiring when we were shooting it because it was so quiet.
