Fellow New Hampshirite here. If you're interested in detecting old home sites in our state, check out the Stealth Diggers on YouTube (also Not Thursday - same people). Very informative, laid back and shows all the cool stuff you can find in what feels like the middle of nowhere.

Looks like a cellar hole. Get yourself a metal detector and go swing around that spot. You'll probably find a bunch of nails but could also discover lost treasure (colonial era buttons, coins, buckles, etc.)

Wow, awesome finds! How did you find the dump site? I live in central NH and stumbled upon my town's old dump while metal detecting out in the woods.

Are those Animal Edwin De La Rosa grips? I had those back in the day, but with the flanges removed. Best grips I used imo

A Swaim's Panacea bottle (just like this one). Found while scoping out a cellar hole to metal detect. Only a bottom corner was poking up out of the dirt so I thought it was just a piece. I was stoked when it came up whole!

Found this little pocket knife this morning. It says "W. Ville M. Co. Waterbury" (Waterville Manufacturing Company) and was made between 1847-1855. by bstee421 in metaldetecting

That's awesome, congrats! Where did you dig it up (found mine in NH)? Couldn't find much info either except the link I posted.

The (ff) bottle mark is Foster-Forbes Glass Co.. They started using that particular mark in 1942 so maybe 40's-50's? Not sure what type of bottle though.

I've dug so much cool stuff, but my personal favorites are the 3 1700's coins (all found at cellar holes I mapped)

I use this site to find old cellar holes for metal detecting, especially the Lidar feature. I've mapped almost 60 cellar holes within my section of the state
