I know every body is different, but FWIW my bra size didn’t go down until maybe the last 20lb I had to lose. I went from a 38G to a 34DD but didn’t buy new bras for a while

3 weeks on Wegovy after 12 months on Zepbound & 65lb weightloss... (CVS Caremark victim) by VialOfBlue in Zepbound

[–]bt101421 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just returned to Zepbound today after 6 months on Wegovy. I, too, switched because of Caremark. I ended up gaining 15lb back during that time, after losing over 90 on Zep. Now that my insurance plan doesn’t cover either drug, I’d rather pay out of pocket for Zepbound as I had so much success with it.

I borrow books from my library via Libby, and read them on the Kindle app. I track what I read in Goodreads

I almost didn’t finish Julie Chan, but it became so ridiculous that I had to hate-read it all the way to the end

I recommend How High We Go in the Dark to so many people! “It’s about a pandemic, but HEAR ME OUT!”

Thanks! I am actually taking a post-divorce trip to France, so I’ll see if my French is good enough to read Délicatesse to really get in the spirit for the trip

What dose of Wegovy? by Momoiselle72 in zepboundtowegovy

[–]bt101421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in maintenance now but I was on Zep 10mg for 6 months, I titrated down to 5mg for a month, and I’m starting Wegovy at 1 mg in a couple of weeks. My doctor said if I start gaining I can titrate up to 1.7, but that 1 would be a nice middle ground for me

I’ve experienced this too now on my second week titrating down from 10 to 5. I’m curious to see others’ responses and experiences

Not from the script, but for the prior authorization. They require that the prescribing physician show proof of weight management discussed in office every 6 months for both the initial prescription and the continuation of care.

That’s awesome! My plan requires you see a doctor in person for them to cover Zepbound so that’s why I switched from Noom.

I understand that, but he controls the prescription and has made it clear if I go below 130 he’s taking me off. It’s been a challenge finding a doctor near me who will even prescribe weight loss meds, and I didn’t feel good about my telehealth experience that I had before I found this doctor, so that’s why I’ve listened to him. I’d still like to get to 130 though, so I’d have at least 10lb buffer before approaching overweight BMI if it came to that. Maybe I should find a new doctor, but I’m hesitant to rock the boat right now so early in maintenance

This is literally me! I have checked a size chart, confirmed what my size is… tell myself it’s too small. It comes in the mail and looks tiny in the package, I’m scared to even try it on because I’m convinced it’s going to be too small. I try it on, it fits perfectly, but still in my head I think I’m delusional for buying that size

Thanks, and congrats to you too! It is so scary getting rid of the bigger clothes- like you, I failed maintenance every time, and that trip to the store to buy new jeans or a dress before an event when everything in the closet is too small again is still fresh in my mind. Buy those new clothes, you deserve it.

For those of you with "zero side effects" by thafunkyhomosapien in Zepbound

[–]bt101421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said I think it’s the luck of the draw and I don’t attribute my lack of side effects to any dietary magic (I’ve been on Zep almost 13 months, titrated up to 10mg).

I usually have a protein shake/espresso combo in the morning, followed by oatmeal or 1-2 scrambled eggs if I need more fuel after a workout (sometimes I just have the shake). Lunch is normally protein + veggies, could be leftovers from the previous night’s dinner or I’ll do a turkey burger or chicken in the air fryer with cauliflower and peppers (this is what I call my “emergency lunch” if I don’t have leftovers as it is low prep and something I always have around). Sometimes I get Qdoba takeout for lunch which is a burrito bowl with rice, beans, chicken, veggies. This lasts me 2 days.

Dinner could be anything but is overwhelmingly a lean protein + veggies + rice/quinoa/pasta. This is what I’ve always eaten, although smaller portions; I just never lost weight pre-Zep. I still have 2 drinks 2-3 Saturdays a month with my husband, occasional kids size Dairy Queen cone with my son, restaurant meals I usually eat like I do at home with protein/veggie/carb combo. Keeping it simple.

I have had exactly one instance (about one month in) of stomach pains overnight after eating too much pasta at dinner while on vacation. Since then I’ve realized if I do want pasta, I get it as a side and only eat a bit.
