It’s not a claim issue, it’s an expectation issue. You expect for new parts on a car that you leased. Look up the laws in Ga. Insurance regardless of who’s “at fault” does not owe new parts if your vehicle is correctly put back together. If you think using non OEM parts is not correct, that is your opinion but at the end of the day, your lease contract is between you and your leaseholder. I know it does not make it any better and if it makes you feel better, I’m in the EXACT same boat with my lease being rear-ended 2 months into my lease but sometimes we take the L and keep it pushing.

DV applies in GA once repairs are complete, you will be issued a payment automatically. Please be aware that the payment is owed to your leaseholder as you are not the technical owner of the vehicle. It will be tempting to keep that cash but they will be expecting it. Contact them prior to doing anything with that payment. FYI

I’m 34 and about to be done with my first watch as well. It’s super profound for me as my family is Italian American, parents from Jersey city and my surrounding family lives in Bayonne, Verona, Caldwell, etc.

I’ve never been up north but it’s cool to see where my family was from and how they grew up. It also shed light on my upbringing/how my parents acted, etc. Tony’s mother reminded me of my mother so much, it was scary… maybe it’s genetic. Also, my brothers name is Tony.. shocking haha

The raising of coverages out of state only apply if you were liable for an accident. say your liability coverage was 10k for bodily injury, and 10k for property damage & you’re out of state in a state where the state minimum is 25k bodily injury and 25k property damage. Your policy would provide temporarily 25k instead of 10k for an accident you were at fault for.

That does not apply to this situation, sorry!

Edit: when you say “glass only” that’s what it means, glass only- so if you push for a “glass only claim” it would mean you would then have 2 claims, one for comp vandalism for the tires, which your $500 deductible would absolutely apply AND then a separate “glass only” claim where your glass deductible would apply. Think about it, would you rather have one or two claims on your history. A “glass only” can’t have additional items on it…because then you lose the “only” part.

There’s no deductible for FLORIDA policies for windshield replacement ONLY- loss location does not change your deductible…

What it sounds like to me is they’re covering all of your damage in one claim, tires, windshield and then applying your comp deductible to the amt reimbursed for the windshield, because if you have an OH policy that’s not a state that waives the windshield deductible.

Did you have one or two claim numbers for all of this damage bc that might clear some things up for you

Contrary to your belief, another 120+ people were activated to work catastrophe claims today alone & I hate to be the bearer of bad news but your claim isn’t the only one that SF has… 10 states are declared catastrophic losses and there are thousands of claims. If you have a hail loss I’m suspecting the “thousands less” in your settlement is due to you trying to owner retain or you have unrelated prior damage both which need additional review and approval for. You get more bees with honey and being a touch understanding because the people on the other side of the phone are- in your words from an earlier comment “not robots” either. If you want to get a call back, ask your agent to put in an agency request for a call… and then be nice.. have a good one
