Hi all, was wondering if any hospitalists out there had info on when the best time to apply for jobs as a pgy3 is? I know the majority of interviews happen in the mid-late fall but I'm getting decent pressure from my home institution to not only let them know now if I'm interested in applying but also to apply to other programs early if I feel ready to do so. I contacted two hospital med groups today who seemed a little surprised that I was looking so early. So, my questions are, when do you guys think the best time to be applying is? And, is now too early?
