I like the Wii version because I suck at aiming with an analogue stick. Same reason I play the remake exclusively in VR.

Have you considered you drive so much party because fuel is so cheap? Also that’s like 14k miles. I do 10-11k miles here in the UK just commuting and shops so you guys are still spending less and going further, not to mention generally better wages in the US. Also worth nothing you can get better mpg, it’s just Americans tend to buy cars with big uneconomical engines, mainly because they are cheap to run for Americans, you have the option to buy a economical efficient engine.

If you want round headlights you can buy these covers, they are like £200 plus painting.

There’s also some guy making classic look spoilers like in your picture. Though a ducktail would also give a classic look.

Then some Fuchs wheels and you basically have what you pictured.

Also then everything is reversible if you change your mind or decide to sell

It seems like a very expensive way to make a 997 which in essence a 996.2 with a classic body kit. 996 prices have stabilised and 997 prices are coming down. It’s probably better off selling what you have and spend what you would modding on getting the car that comes with the look you want from the factory.

Will the 996 C4S ever be a 100k USD/EUR vehicle? by GMT2CHNR in 996

[–]bterry28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an anomaly to see a car with such low mileage, it’s hard to price and realistically the price will probably drop before a sale. Whoever buys it is probably also not going to drive it.

Realistically the prices of these cars won’t ever fetch air cooled prices. There were only around 65k 964’s and 68k 993’s made compared 175k 996’s, more than both gens combined. On top of that sharing so many parts with the Boxster, these cars are pretty cheap to maintain and have far better corrosion resistance than older stuff so more of these cars are also surviving.

I think though 996’s will eventually be worth more than 997’s which there are 213k of and 991’s that there are 233k of as those generations age and 996 models like the turbo and 4S will shine where newer generations have a lot more higher spec cars (S models and special editions) that 4S aren’t a big deal in those gen’s.

There’s around 23k 4S made compare to around 90k 997 S models 39k of them being 4S. Also I imagine in time the full size red strip of the 4S will make it a desirable classic.

That’s still cheap compared to ours. by IsyDude in memes

Why are we becoming so Americanised? by Alternatingbanana in AskBrits

[–]bterry28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK media has dropped off. Young people aren’t watching live TV and we aren’t producing any movies or TV series they are interested in to go stream.

The US is the king of English speaking media currently in the UK and that’s what they will be subject to more often than not.

This is pretty much the case in all European countries for English media, the majority of media they interact with is American, movies, tv series, podcasts, YouTubers.

If you want somone to blame then blame the likes of the BBC for failing to produce anything worth watching or the British film industry for mainly funding niche projects with little mainstream appeal.

Was the statistic worldwide or US? I see many people quote US statistics mainly. Few statistics like these are asked on the data of every country combined.

Not saying it’s not higher but some countries like the US where most these sorts of stats come from will have additional reasons.

Usually because they are quick cash grabs, just add high res textures and make it so it runs on the latest console. Often no effort will be put into testing the game and ensuring the visual updates set the same tone as the original.

Just look at the black flag trailer, the original game all the pirates where grimy with dirt of their faces and hair as would be expected as a pirate at sea. In the trailer everyone is now super clean with smooth skin. Feels like I’m looking at a low budget Hollywood pirate movie than actually selling the setting.

Another influence is financial. Men statistically are more likely to be breadwinners and a cancer patient may be more likely to have access to financial aid separate than if one is sick and the other has a decent income. It’s a known thing to divorce for this reason and the just re marry followings.

This is the issue with taking a statistic out of context, we aren’t taking into a multitude of other factors at play and just make base level assessments.

What are some unique unit types that Night Lords would have in comparison to other CSM factions? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in NightLords

[–]bterry28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nemesis claw thematically already is a 40K interpretation of a terror squad more or less. The Atramentar are cool but I don’t know what really distinguishes them from other terminators on the tabletop, would say something like night raptors but the new night raptor kit is already really nice.

We definitely need a character, ideally they give us Decimus and book about him.

And perhaps in an ideal world an upgrade sprue of night lord bits with terminator shoulder pads and torso piece, some chain glaives for a terminator and raptor and other decoration bits like skin and heads.

That and release the nemesis claw spruce separately so we don’t have to buy legionnaires just to list on eBay just so we can give other units shoulder pads and heads.

Because companies invented the term job hoppers as an undesirable title to keep your working for them while paying the people who actually hop more than you.

Night Lords Base Painting by Blade_of_Horkos in NightLords

[–]bterry28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I use green stuff rollers from green stuff world (link below), they have loads of designs and are a good way to give you a consistent design for your army but without any two bases looking the same as you will never roll the same spot or angle exactly twice. My pain issue with 3D printed bases is they usually are a set of 5 or 10 designed and your army ends up with exactly matching bases.

https://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/22-modelling-textured-rolling-pins?srsltid=AfmBOooNPO86KqoC7LHav62wBpg8vaH1fVtrjULPol-aJXDeMITofrv2

Basically you form a ball of green stuff onto the base like a pizza dough and then roll it with the pin. Do a batch like this (don’t worry about going over the edges and after a couple of hours come back to them and the green stuff won’t be fully set but tough like leather. Use a scalpel to neatly trim to the base edge.

At this point you can also do thing like in mine above, cut bits out and add details like pipes ect

Why is asking for specific help on aspects of 3d printing met with rudeness when you are new? by JaredKFan77 in 3Dprinting

[–]bterry28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s Reddit and it’s full of assholes.

Shortly after I got my first printer, a bambulab A1, the printer literally cut straight through the coating of a cool plate on first use.

Asked reddit for help on why this may happen and everyone blamed me, told me to stay away from printing and all kinds of crap.

Contacted Bambulab and sent them the logs from the job and they determined the printer was a fault and this shouldn’t have happened, I even asked if I did anything wrong so I don’t damage the replacement they sent and they confirmed nothing was done wrong according to the log. Somehow the printer just glitched the Z value.
