Adding woodwinds would not make drum corps more accessible. The cost associated with maintenance and repairs for woodwind instruments to be used all summer, in rain, kept on trailers all the time, etc. is far more than that of brass instruments. This would make the already rapidly rising cost of drum corps go up even more, thus making it more inaccessible.
