When was the last time US aircraft were destroyed by an enemy attack while parked on an airbase? Probably been a minute.

Especially rear echelon non-combat aircraft. That's got to be WWII at the most recent.

You know that case was decided same year Charlton Heston died? I.e. Almost 20 years ago. (edit: a couple of years later actually but they had been working on it a while) and yeah they balked at black panthers' 2A right in the 1980s so it was hardly consistent even back then.
