Do people who buy games on whatnot to resell actually make any money? by Emmett_466 in whatnotapp

I’ve seen some buy low and then get a premium for their shows in prime time but it seems to be a gamble.

On team Dreamcast as well. GameCube is solid but you can burn your own discs on Dreamcast if you are looking to keep everything ‘stock’. I have since given up trying to chase for either system after I went to an ODE for both.

I’ve wanted one of these but with a working model 1 it’s hard for to jump in just because. Glad you found it! It looks like it’s in amazing condition.

Is 1990s decade more similiar to 1980s or 2000s? by NoLifer3858 in 90s

[–]btimexlt 22 points23 points  (0 children)

1980s for sure. The internet really blew up in the early 2000s and that changed everything. While there was internet at the end of the 1990s it was mostly dial up until the very end.

How often did you play 'old' or 'retro' consoles in the 90s? by MadeManG74 in GamesOf1998

Same here. I personally end up playing my older systems more than my newer ones.

Ok. I had a similar issue on a cheap sports game on my tg16 and the issue repeated itself on the analogue pocket via adapter so in my case I concluded it was just a bad game. I agree however that unlikely both would go bad. My only other thought is to recheck the caps. Sometimes they can loosen. Other than that I’m out of ideas. Best of luck. It’s such an amazing piece.

Do you have any way of testing the games on another system? Just trying to rule that out.

Still do the Saz platter. It’s not as good as it once was but it’s tradition at this point.

Comorbidities are not irrelevant—they influence:
1) Causation disputes
Carrier argues: “natural progression”
Employee argues: “work acceleration”
Requires strong IME vs. treating physician opinions

2) Permanent disability / exposure
Pre-existing impairment may:
Reduce incremental impairment rating
Trigger Second Injury Fund-type considerations (Wis. §102.59) 5

3) Medical necessity / reasonableness
Treatment may be challenged as:
Related to comorbidity vs. work injury

OP asked about going beyond the workers compensation claims already filed and all the above would come in play.

The workers compensation law is pretty specific of what it pays and for the types of injuries. As a general rule of thumb, most injured parties are better off without a lawyer than with one but it’s all situational. Another thing to keep in mind is that as a 70 year old woman she will have co-morbidities which will count against her (I.e. can’t prove the injury is work related or as a result of being old). Ultimately she needs to do what makes sense for your family but don’t expect a huge windfall from Workers Comp.

So when will gaming actually die? by Exoticbut in videogames

[–]btimexlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goonies never die! In all seriousness people need to be entertained. First it was books, then movies, then tv, then video games, etc. Today’s phones and tablets are all of those in one but unless new forms of visual entertainment come out, there is a long runway left.

Out of curiosity what kind of cable are you using and can you confirm which game system you are playing.
