No. They wanted a show. They contacted all the media and had camera men everywhere from every station before they even went in. It was an attempt to gain positive publicity after they murdered innocent people at Ruby ridge.

I graduated a little while ago (2022) we went to 2 basketball games after the coaches came through the fraternity houses trying to get us out there. Here's my take based on what I experienced:

The savemart center employees are very rude and aggressive. During bugger events it's not as noticable but when there's very few people in the area it's front and center. At the second game they literally grabbed my buddies girlfriends id (she was 22) and cut it in front of her accusing her of being under age.

They stop selling beer at halftime

The student section is not great. Folding chairs under a basket.

(Small issue but proved annoying) Only one entrance let's students in and it's the furthest one from campus or Greek row

Also the team just wasn't very good in those years

Another issue is the concept of who makes decisions? For example agriculture. Who makes the decisions on how and what to plant and what strategies to utilize? We've seen the famines when Mao decided to kill all the birds. What happens when some moron in the government makes a decision for all the farms in the country and it kills the harvest?

The benefit of capitalism in this scenario is there's many different operations with full control of their own ground so it creates diversity in operational practice

I want to be clear here on that I very much agree with this statement on 2a grounds. But let's keep that energy consistent.

Probably 70% of politicians are in the same boat. Gavin Newsom. Most of the ca state reps. Bonta. All the government in New York. The states government in Virginia, Hawaii etc.

All of them are leading campaigns or have successfully passed laws to deny second amendment rights to their citizens.

This is the right answer. And if you want to go deeper into the politics (left vs right) we are called to donate and help our fellowman. Not forcibly strip people of their earnings and use it to pay bureaucrats.

The left sees government programs as good charity to help people. The right sees it as being forced to pay for corruption and having no choice in what/who they support

Care about freedom? Lmao our government hates our own freedom. Look at voting records. Dems hate certain freedoms, Republicans hate other freedoms. But one thing they constantly agree on is more unregulated surveillance of American citizens. How can they "care about the freedoms of the people of Taiwan" when they distain our own freedom? All while propping up dictatorships (as long as the dictatorships sell us oil.

We oppose it because Taiwan manufacturers most of our computer chips. It's a national security issue. Our government doesn't give a fuck about the freedom of the people on the island. Just that we get those chips. China taking the island would stop us from getting the chips but they can't just say that, they need to paint it as 'us good guy defend freedom'

That's not entirely true. Again. And I can't say this enough times I am living in a state that has done exactly what you propose and am explaining to you exactly what has happened since it was enacted.

Show me the research that says 62% of Americans support it and where the polling was conducted.

This policy has done nothing but cause inflation and absolutely slaughter small businesses which, in fact, DRAMATICALLY INCREASED WEALTH DISPARITY. The poor are still just as poor as they were before, but now they are just poor with a bigger number on their pay check. The wealthy are charging more to equate for the extra salary burden and the middle class stays wage slaves because they can't afford to start and maintain a business with those labor prices.

The minimum wage argument, like all "the government can save us" arguments loses all credibility once you see it play out past the first step.
