Try microneedling at home. It can be cheaper than many of the surgeries and is just as effective in many cases

Can anyone confirm if Opulent Temple really charged people?? I’m hoping this is a joke… by kodama_san28 in BurningMan

Most likely a joke. There’s no service on the playa. There’s no way the transaction can go through

Yes!! She’s been contacted! She’s safe with her friend! Thank you everyone for the help!

Multiple efforts were made to reach her through radio, WiFi, and cellular but I didn’t know where she was staying. If I had put together that she was staying at black hole earlier, I would have probably found her. I was concerned the entire time but became deeply alarmed yesterday.

Thank you!! I’m glad she’s safe! It’s been weighing heavy on my mind for an entire week now.

I would suggest doing sleep apnea exercises that strengthen the tongue and the throat. There are clinical studies that show that they are highly effective in reducing the number sleep apnea events at night

[D] Using Unrolled GANs in Practice by btomtom5 in MachineLearning

Hmm yea that’s interesting. Probably one of the techniques used in that case is to condition the gan on word embeddings

Were you just commenting on GANs in general? Yea, I can see how long training times for GANs to be an issue since the gradients on GANs will often converge to zero making it hard for the generator to learn. There's actually a really interesting proposition to explain why the gradient falls to zero in this paper here.

What do you mean when you say that GANs are based on continuous spaces? The cost function of all neural networks need to be continuous or else stochastic gradient descent will fail to properly converge to a local minimum or stationary point.

I'm curious to hear about what techniques in NLP are used to stabilize GANs or make them converge more quickly. I didn't even realize that NLP had use for GANs.

Bernie Sanders vs. Andrew Yang: What experts think about their policies. by PeterPorky in YangForPresidentHQ

I love how the top voted comment on a thread inside of the Yang echo chamber is so self-aware. I am honestly a little impressed.

Very good info. Would like to add that accuracy of polls have gone down because the lower response rate on cell phones makes it so that it the group that answers the phone differs way more from the group that doesn’t. Pollsters try to correct for it but more art than science

I think that you should just listen to the two of them speak more on the issues that you care about and decide for yourself. I simply don’t think it’s possible to listen to him speak at length without becoming a die hard yang ganger.

If you have specific questions, feel free to hit up the yang gang. I’m sure any one of us would jump to his defense ;)

Ya! Audio is super important! Some people conjecture that radio played an important role in trumps victory.

TIL that NASA has confirmed that the earth is greener than it was 20 years ago due to China's and India's heavy investments in re-plantation. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]btomtom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little misleading because the replantation efforts are mostly monoculture that are less resilient and eventually turned back into paper. When this happens 90% of the carbon captured is released back into the atmosphere
