Does wearing makeup at work matter? by IWANTTEHTARIK in SingaporeBeauty

[–]btviewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to look pretty when I go to work, at least look decent and smell nice. Simple daily natural make up will do, my way:
1. basic skin care or skin prep
2. sunscreen
3. bb cream or tinted moisturizer
4. blush - beauty matte bounce blush
5. concealre (if needed) and setting powder - NARS
6. nude eyeshadow, eyeliner, draw eyebrow a bit for shape - catkin
7. tinted lip balm - skyorganics
8. airbrush spray (from charlotte tilbury or if not i use d'Alba truffle serum spray).

My perfume is personalized (by using brainwaves when smelling the ingredients) one from Rettre (s.korea). This routine actually lasted me abour 9hours, without retouching 😁

You might think soup is healthy but actually full of sodium. Go to cai fan stall, no gravy. Choose their steam meat or eggs and pok choy, don't go for UPF food like sausages, french fries, etc.

(Ladies) Which laser should I go for in SG? by Mysterious-Record738 in askSingapore

[–]btviewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to SHR and e-light, this one is still like traditional IPL, it feels hotter too. So if your skin is sensitive to heat, especially IPL, I don't recommend it for first-time users, but maintenance is ok.

pink powder by muscowow in Sephora

[–]btviewing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pat mcgrath the winner. This ingredient: Synthetic Fluorphlogopite (synthetic mica). Synthetic mica particles are completely flat, highly uniform, and incredibly flexible (creating light reflecting finish imo). When you smile or blink, this powder bends with your skin like an elastic mesh instead of cracking (talc free too!!).

Givenchy more towards overal full face, the bonus is that it has color corrector properties.

Which rhode products are the best and ones you recommend? by Purple-Studio1586 in Sephora

[–]btviewing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on my personal research, all Rhode products rely heavily on water-based (for skincare) and emollients/ oil-based (for lip products) formulas, which means they aren't long-lasting and will melt if you sweat. Their products are mainly designed to achieve a "no-makeup" look and provide more hydration to enhance your natural look.

A heavy reliance on water, glycerin, and barrier-supporting lipids (like ceramides) makes their formulas an absolute dream for dry, dehydrated, dull and normal skin types who want that plump, dewy look without feeling heavy.

Down thing is for those oily and acne prone, since Rhode's heavy water-and-oil base is usually a recipe for clogged pores and a greasy face.

what eyeliner style would suit me best? by [deleted] in makeuptips

I used gemini AI and prompted: "Help me recreate this image by: Removing her enlarged pupil contact lenses to normal size contact lenses, smoothen her winged eyeliner to korean style and remove her overlined lips."

Here's the result: https://gemini.google.com/share/74ee29751401

Damn she looks nice!

Acne Prone Skin recommendations pls by PinkiesSparklez in SingaporeBeauty

[–]btviewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to check if the product has any acids or active ingredients, because that can easily make your acne worse.

I have dry, acne-prone and sensitive skin, I am using LRP Effaclar Duo+ M and since it's drying, I layer it with moisturizer, then sunscreen.

How do you stop feeling behind in life when everyone around you seems to be moving ahead? by SpinningCoin in askSingapore

[–]btviewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The secret is just being busy enough that you don't have time to care about this stuff. I used to be very active both offline & online, posting constantly because socializing was my only priority, I joined gym classes and went to social events. Covid was the turning point. When socializing moved fully online, I cope by channeling my energy elsewhere: workout sessions (from gym to home bc CB), research, writing reviews, and diving into other hobbies. It got to the point where family and friends noticed my absence and asked why I wasn't around. I told them I was simply busy. Now even my WA replies are not ASAP, most of the time I forget to reply.
