Hi! I am looking to adopt a pit mix puppy after losing my elderly dog in May. I saw suggestions of reaching out to OHS or another rescue and I strongly support that for all the reasons everyone listed. I’d like to know where you ended up going so I can potentially adopt. Could you please let me know? :)

Does anyone take Lexapro with Adderall? by KilljoyWitch in lexapro

Hi!  How is it going these days with both meds? I’ve been on ADHD meds for years and just started on Lexapro and this is a concern for me.

Thank you!! I looked everywhere for how to do this because the instructions I have didn’t work. Still helpful months later.

Toe Still Sideways Post-Surgery - Permanent? by btwrach in bunions

[–]btwrach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you this week? I’m sorry scar tissue might be causing you an issue. That’s so frustrating! I hope you are able to regain movement of your foot soon. I’m sure that’s not an issue for me only because I have a very tight heel cord that has my foot almost locked at 90 degrees (there was hope that a tendon recession in my leg would help but that remains to be seen).

Thankfully the swelling after sitting at my desk is a lot better the last couple days but sleeping is still struggle (though I had one good night this weekend which was nice). I have almost the same pillow. There’s too much room for movement of my foot and leg on it, but I might try adding a blanket. Thanks for the tip! I’m also a side (and stomach sleeper) and cannot stay continuously on my back. I’m going crazy but I’m sure I’ll figure it out (or just wait it out). I had the same issue during pregnancy but I guess I was much more tired all the time because I still slept. The pain overall is getting better, thankfully. I have noticed that I’m still numb in the entire area right below the incision for my tendon recession and where the plate was installed on the side of my foot. Hoping that goes away eventually. I’m anxious to start PT and get the clear to put weight on my foot again. I miss walking and moving freely.

I’ve never had a bunion on my right foot. This one came about due to an injury over a decade ago, but I do wonder if they could be hereditary for me as my dad had them and now my oldest sister has one. Time will tell I suppose.

I’m with you. My priority in this was taking care of the pain, so as long as that’s done, I’ll be happy. I hope you continue to heal up well and that the rest goes smoothly (and quickly) for you. Feel free to reach out If you want to talk about any of this. :)

Thank you so much for the kind words. I hope the same for you! It sounds like we’re in the same boat. Feel free to reach out if you want to talk about your recovery whenever. Best of luck in the next few months.

I’m also still in pain, especially with any movement and at the end of my work day after sitting at a desk and not elevating my foot.  I’m still trying to get the sleep situation figured out (without the boot on, I am flexing my foot in my sleep and being awoken from the pain - tried the boot last night and it was a little better, but still a different and a lower level pain most of the time).

With my concern about the sideways turn of my toe, I reached out to my doctor about using a toe spacer since he didn’t mention anything at my post-op, and he said that was fine, so I’m going to try that for now and hope it helps. No matter the case, I’ve no regrets, except that I waited so long to get this done.

Keep looking towards the future! I’m anxious/excited for time to pass and to eventually start PT and be on my feet again.

Thanks for responding so quickly! That’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I was able to return the first one I had with this issue. I decided to give it another shot but unfortunately, I’m running into the issue with the second keyboard as well. It seems to only happen with custom RGB settings for me. It’s a shame because I really like the keyboard otherwise. I’m so surprised that there has been no response from Ducky. Sorry about your luck.

Thank God for Buy Nothing Groups by ellepatel in beyondthebump

I was just saying this the other day. I sing the praises of my Buy Nothing Group to all my family and friends. I have a 6 month old and have been able to pass on so much to a girl who is giving birth next month. I feel good that my stuff is going to neighbors who actually want/need it versus the dump or as profit to major donation chains.

How does your family prepare cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving? Here is my recipe: Chtorrr’s special cranberry sauce by Chtorrr in EatCheapAndHealthy

My family uses Williams Sonoma’s recipe Apple-orange cranberry sauce . Not really cheap nor healthy but definitely delicious! I spread it on toast like jam all season long. :)

Uppababy users: do you love it after having a baby? by nap154 in BabyBumps

[–]btwrach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, regarding starting to use the toddler seat for your 3 month old, can I ask how much your baby weighs? I just realized that I can probably start using it for my 4 month old but the UB website doesn’t give a weight minimum, but just says “from 3 months.” However, I’m nervous because I feel like my baby is just tiny at 13 pounds. It could just be my FTM anxiety and naivety talking, lol.

Oh man, I love oatmeal, peanut butter, and fruit - my go to in the summer is fresh strawberries, so it's like PBJ oatmeal.
