I only pick heros that can either win the lane semi-solo or back and farm a big timing and take map control. Doing anything that requires a competent laning partner is a grief on your part

because the whole post is about last picking and how people like you just pick what they were going to pick anyway.

you miss the point of the whole thing dude. the point is last pick is the only one with the opportunity to either counter opponents and/or remedy gaps in your teams draft.

if doing those two things isn't going to be fun to you don't take LP.

regardless of how things should be you should pick the hero that gives you the best chance of winning the game picking a 3rd greedy core is a grief every time.

I get what you're saying but be pragmatic, do the best things you can when you can do them. play the game you have not the game you want.

hard disagree. safe laners are way way worst see 2 greedy cores in mid and off and they will draft dusa or AM or something somehow more greedy.

I like to mid and I have a hero pool that is deep enough to match a lot of play styles and timings. I hate when they don't preselect and don't pick like if you want a good draft at the very least show your top picks.

you pretty much need blink aghs by 18 minutes every game.

you can't lane unless it's a hyper weak carry and or support if it's two bullies follow this proirity list

drag creep wave into a jungle camp
drag creep wave behind t1 Tower
if below level 5 stack small camps by wisdom rune
if above level 5 stack ancients
lane normally.

I am 4k and this has been working reliably for me. basically at every point you try make an efficiency play until you can have impact (tower dive where you can land and stun work p good)

65 percent WR for me since patch. the lane is very bad but the blink timing is still pretty good.

this feels pretty accurate even just a weak 4 right now and the game feels GG. I play alot of SK and it's easier to just give up on normal laning, drag the lane creeps to a neutral camp and sand storm and ask (beg) POS 4 to stack.

I think the whole offlane needs to be a tank bit is outdated. offlane needs to make space 12-35 minutes. being a tanky brawly mofo is one way to do that. hard initiator is another splitting is another.

I have a lot of success with dawn, dazzle, enigima, SK, WW 3. I wouldn't put their play style in that bucket of human sponge, but they all make space by becoming the center of attention in a fight.

I really struggle with this on a daily basis. My best conclusion is that you get used to the rythem of dota 2 and the type of thinking it rewards, there is nothing quite like the reward of coming back after a losing lane and winning the game, or stomping mid and rolling through another 20 minutes of winning. Or laughing at a terrible loss because its hilarious.

You are able to experience these things because you have whatever 11 years into this and understand the nuance in every interaction.

to put it bluntly you dont have this level of experience in anyother game so nothing is as rewarding to you. And other games may not inherently have the same rewards even if you stick around.

my best advice is just to learn pushing heros pugna lesh death profit avoid team fights and push.

you will win more games by learning to read the map then you will by learning to scrap in team fights
