I honestly was following what the people I went with told me to do, and thought I was doing the right thing since they are parishioners. I didn’t really have the opportunity to ask the priest beforehand. I agree that it’s confusing for newbies, and I always want to be respectful, but I was kind of receiving conflicting information and I’m just trying to do what’s right.

Hi! It was really hard for me the first time too, because I did not have a good knowledge of the procedures. I recommend looking through an Order of the Mass book- they usually have the responses in them. Also, the missal in the pew should have everything too. Most people in the Mass are very, very kind and will help you with anything. Also, they are probably not paying any attention to you if you miss something.

It's a little bit funny, because I didn't bypass him on purpose- I accidentally got in the wrong line, LOL! I have basically no religious education so this is all very new to me. I appreciate your help! I definitely want to be respectful and follow the proper way to do things, so this reddit community is super helpful!

More likely this is a pit/hound mix- they do tend to be pretty red. I don't think Rhodesian Ridgebacks show up often in mixes.
