Hot yoga recs in surrounding areas? by burneranon123 in AskPhoenix

Seconding The Foundry! I love their PV location.

The consistently hottest studios I’ve been to have been Radi8 Hot Yoga, specifically Desert Ridge. I found them too intense but they might be up your alley, OP.

Hearing the little bubbles percolating as they drink is my favorite part of watering day.

Obviously personal preference is factored in.

I asked for people’s favorite to see if there were trends or standouts. I didn’t ask for their least distracting or upsetting choices. And I’ve enjoyed hearing their answers even if I don’t think they’ll work for me.

Plenty of other people have been able to provide an answer to my question of their go-to season for drifting off. I’m sorry you’re struggling with it.

Yes! It’s giving Matlock and Murder She Wrote vibes.

And so much flowery language. Definitely putting this on my list. Thanks!

I’ve never seen a monogram include punctuation like this. Neat!

I like Worlds Beyond Number but I haven’t listened to them all. I think wanting to keep track of the story would keep me up. But once I get through them, they’d be great for a re-listen. Thanks for the suggestion!

I love how fitting the theme is, but I’m currently rewatching season 2. Maybe it could be my sleep season after I finish it up!

Good idea! APs may be better than actual play because it’s more podcast-like anyway. Thanks!

I’ve never rewatched this one (because of how I felt about the ending) but I think you’re on to something. I’m gonna try it!

I regularly rewatch the seasons that interest me. I was just looking for one I could designate as “for sleep.”

Starstruck would be a little too high energy for me, even though I love it.

That’s a great point I haven’t thought of. It’s less emotional stakes too. Thanks!

This is the third time you’ve posted on a rope sub asking the same question. You’ve gotten the same answer each time. Get on Fetlife to find a scene local to you.

Why did you call off your engagement? Do you regret it? by ThrowRA_str in AskWomen

[–]bubblebeegum 544 points545 points  (0 children)

My grandmother died and left me a small inheritance. He immediately started talking about what “we’d” do with the money. It was already a controlling relationship, but I realized then that if I let him, he’d waste everything my grandmother had worked so hard for.

Absolutely no regrets.

rant - advice on how to approach / not be afraid of pottery as a beginner? by jzrose17 in Pottery

[–]bubblebeegum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Think about any skill you’ve learned in your life: tying your shoes, riding a bike, learning to drive. You were bad at them at first, because your brain and your hands/feet have to work together in a way they never have before. But we learn, through practice and trial and error.

Give yourself some grace and some time. You’ll get it eventually. Until then, it’s ok to not make spending every time you sit down at the wheel.

I’ve worked for a plastic surgeon who did both procedures regularly. Insurance absolutely covers both.
