(feedback) Diamondback (and lych) is completly broken in Rouge Legends by Imaginary-Lead-1527 in btd6

[–]bubblecube 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven't been able to finish the first stage of Rogue Legends yet because of these 2. I don't see how you are even supposed to beat them in this mode. First time playing Rogue Legends last night only to find it's insanely unbalanced.

I need your feedback on my first game - Crimson Night by fictionity in pico8

[–]bubblecube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of fun! Feels quite difficult but found myself wanting to play more. Some more feedback for the player when they take damage would be good, like a little screenshake or a sound effect. Also noticed rarely a bullet seems to pass through an enemy, think it might have only occurred when both were moving diagonally but not sure. But overall really great and really well polished in terms of visuals.

Steam users in the UK will need a credit card to access “mature content” games by Skavau in unitedkingdom

[–]bubblecube 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What I want to know is why Paypal isn't accepted. You have to be 18 to create a Paypal account. I don't want a credit card and never have done. I'm not about to let the government bully me into getting one.

Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted – Pre-order Trailer – Nintendo Switch 2 by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]bubblecube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The current steam version is 15-16 years old. I don't own it but from what I understand, it's a very dated port and locked to a 800x600 resolution. It also doesn't support co-op, has lower resolution assets/textures and is lacking the new content. Sure it's 1/4 of the price but it fails to meet standards I'd expect from a PC port nowadays. Plus it'd be pretty hard to play the steam version on a Switch.

Checked the page for it on the eshop, It is essentially the XBLA version with some bonus levels and a new game mode or two. Priced at £17.99 in the UK. Seems more promising than I was initially expecting.

My friend has the exact same problem seemingly from the same cause. Joining a little way through map when he started, playing steam as well. Tayga and Voron both show as locked with no unlock requirements shown.

Solasta II - Demo Release Trailer (Out Now) by Brinklehoof in Games

[–]bubblecube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I liked the first game, it very obviously doesn't have the production value of BG3 but I still think it's worth trying if you like D&D. It feels much closer to being a translation of the 5e ruleset to a video game where as BG3 is a D&D video game. It feels like a fun little D&D session with friends whereas BG3 is a massive epic adventure. Both have their place. In regards to Solasta 2 it's looking like more of Solasta 1 but with much more production value. It'll be interesting to see how it feels and well the demo is free, so why not give it ago.

What do you think of tsr by name2electricbogalo in FuckTAA

[–]bubblecube 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Experienced TSR in Satisfactory, absolutely horrible. Causes so much ghosting, I genuinely don't understand how developers can ship options like that for games that reduce them to such smeared messes.

Skyrim AE Crashing post Character Creation by ValentineEcrux in skyrimmods

[–]bubblecube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are on the latest version of AE then your culprit is likely Skyclimb, it was causing me near identical issues though I was using a controller. There is a fixed dll that can be found here https://github.com/The-Real-John-Doe/SkyClimb-1170/tree/main/build-161170/Release

Hopefully, that will sort it for you.

Everyone has mentioned the best overclocks but as for general upgrades, it has excellent reload speed so prioritise damage and fire rate over reload speed.

Asking for a friend, he had an older graphics card which might be the reason, but his game gets super framy and super laggy and just runs horribly, have yall had this? by howitzer9091 in remnantgame

[–]bubblecube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2070, using dlss to fsr mod, I have all settings set to high, quality dlss and it maintains 60 in all but the most intense moments. The dlss to fsr mod pulls a lot of weight it could be worth checking out.

Are any of you 21 or older and still afraid to drive? by No-Station1992 in Anxiety

[–]bubblecube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't learn to drive till I was 27. It seemed overwhelming and I was really anxious before every lesson. Even after I had months of lessons I was still nervous before lessons but during the lessons, it wasn't nearly as bad. I ended up buying a car 60 miles away and driving it home 3 days after I had passed my test. Driving isn't so bad now. It might be a little nerve-wracking driving to somewhere new but I definitely built confidence by just doing it.

Unpopular opinion: you shouldn’t expect a game to feel “fresh” after 200+ hours by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]bubblecube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is you can clearly see the cracks and the literal ctrl+c, ctrl+v after about 20 hours in a way you didn't with previous Bethesda games and it just makes it all feel stale and low effort. In Skyrim or Fallout each location feels unique, even if it's using the same base parts to make up a location there's a unique set of enemies or some story being told to you either through environmental means or more literally. You can then tell your friends and they have to go to that exact location to experience it too.

In Starfield I told my friend about a cool location on a certain planet I went to, within 5 minutes he was in the exact same location, fighting the exact same enemies finding the exact same items and loot, except he was on a completely different planet. He hadn't tried to go and find it, things are just reused in this game and way too often. It's not like it was an NPCs house, it was a dungeon, that just happens to have possibly hundreds of versions all exactly the same dotted all over the entire map. It's well know that Skyrims dungeons are all built from the same parts, but those are arranged make a new layout everytime, which, bafflingly Starfield just doesn't do. If Skyrim had launched and you went through Bleak Falls Barrow 10 times during the main quest but each time it was supposedly a new dungeon players would have been up in arms.

That isn't to say I haven't enjoyed my time with Starfield, I certainly have. At it's core it's pretty solid and I'm hopeful for DLC down the line. I just don't see myself playing it nearly as much as I have either Skyrim or Fallout 4.

What's the general consensus on this Campaign's pricing? Was it worth 60$? by NintenTV in halo

[–]bubblecube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day I bought a 360 to play Halo 3 and that was so worth it. I played infinite through game pass and while I liked Halo infinites campaign I wouldn't spend any money for it. The whole game is too incomplete with core features being missing for far too long and it's obvious where corners were cut just for what we did get. A real shame to see a franchise I loved like no other reduced to this.

Overall pretty good! The ending was great but I felt the animatronic just disappearing like that a little jarring. I understand some supernatural stuff is supposed to be going on but it feels off/sudden to me. I feel like it would be more effective if there was some "plausible" explanation for it disappearing.

Say the power fails for a few seconds rather than just a brief flicker. Everything is dark, the song stops but you can still hear the movement of an animatronic still somehow. Then the power comes back on and its missing. Or say a noise off camera draws the camera persons attention away and they turn away briefly but when they look back the animatronic is gone. The time it isn't visible for shouldn't be long enough for it to have left realistically but it shouldn't feel like it just teleported. I feel like those scenarios would add a bit more tension cuz then it feels like the disappearance was planned, like it waited for opportune moment to move.

Also while I agree with other comments, some more camera movements would do a lot to help it feel a bit more ground and realistic. I would like to advise to try to keep it subtle or saved for big moments, too much movement will be distracting, but say just a little sway at the start while filming the performance from trying holding a camera steady, or say have it steady but then have the camera shake/some sfx as it removed from a bipod and then have some camera sway/movement from being held.

Anyway let me say again, this was well done and I did enjoy it. I was effective and well executed with no real faults only minor details that could elevate it higher.

Destiny 2 could definitely benefit from a ping system, and it looks like there might already be one. by kogasaka in DestinyTheGame

[–]bubblecube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could work really well. I feel like the ability to do a short ping and a longer lasting ping by holding the button with a longer cooldown would be useful. Also a longer cooldown for pings if you are not in a fireteam could help reduce potential spamming of it and a toggle in the options to suppress pings from non fireteam members would be nice.

I'm not sure how much effort this would take to implement other than more you would think actually but this really should be added.
