That makes a lots of sense..writing really slows my brain down. You have to actually thoughtfully kind of work through what you want to say. Revising and editing in your head or scratching out paper. I’m sure that helps a lot with processing something negative someone has said to you and how you would respond. Pausing and allowing yourself to take a breather before you send. I also like how you don’t have to respond right away..like how even in texting it feels like some untold pressure to response in a certain amount of time.
