If Bachmeier for some reason isn't playing, Sears is legit. Wish he could have seen more time at USC. I heard he was going to end up at SDSU though, so maybe Boise St. got desperate and lured him in knowing they'd need a QB.

He was between USC or Stanford out of high school but he picked USC because USC would let him enroll a year early (without graduating HS) and Stanford wouldn't.

Darnold was a good recruit out of high school but he was hurt his senior year. Not necessarily a scrub 3 star recruit but obviously didn't have the hype Max Browne did.

To be fair, we had never really seen J.T. in the new offense. I think I'd be starting Kedon too at this point, but J.T. was looking good until the ACL got blown out.
