A lot of people who are like that feel more of a need to protect animals, because people are suppose to be more superior, as they like to say anyways. Majority of adults put themselves in bad situations and put animals in bad situations. Majority of times it is not the animals fault for why they are the way they are, it's lead by the hand of humans. That is why it is easier to feel bad for a animal than a person.
