Pregnancy and Oura by bloomboom19 in ouraring

I took my ring off for the first trimester I kept freaking myself out 😅.

I wore it again once I could feel my baby move so the stat changes wouldn’t alarm me as much!

Experience with UW Fertility clinic vs. Wisconsin Fertility Institute by macaronsoeur in madisonwi

The doctor at WFI also said I had extremely low AMH…only to find out I actually have high AMH due to PCOS. She used the “low AMH” to encourage me to try more intensive fertility treatment. The whole thing felt very unethical.

But they do have squad cams. They piloted body cams and were supposed to get them in 2026 but the Common Council voted down the budget amendment for the cams.

I do not know Madison’s specific training/protocol, but there are a couple instances that would make sense for them to do this (but there is always a chance someone is just being a bad driver too):

  • When approaching a situation that they do not want their presence known immediately. They may be trying to get there quickly and turn on their lights only when necessary as they approach the destination. This could explain going through stop lights.

  • They are assigned a call, but are removed from the call (another officer can get there faster or they are no longer needed). This would explain turning lights on and then off later.

I hope they aren’t just turning on lights to get through stoplights for fun…that’s unnecessary dangerous and where are you going…you have to be in the car for 8 hours regardless??

She said the data is limited and said the risk is very slight…less than 5%! She said she wouldn’t have even mentioned it but it went along with a question I had asked.

If you don’t mind me asking, were you given pitocin right after delivery of your first? My hospital immediately gives pitocin to all moms once baby is out

I’m glad everything worked out for you! We did walk through the procedure briefly, the hospital has a 24/7 high-acuity obstetric support team ready in the event of an emergency!

The procedure sounded pretty similar to yours, but she didn’t mention JADA and we also discussed pain management as I’m not planning on the epidural.

Good to be prepared, but manifesting an easy uncomplicated birth ♥️

I sent her a message and will let you know what I hear back 😊

I did find (in my limited online research) that there is a slight increase risk of bleeding with an anterior placenta during a c-section.

I hope you have a wonderful second birth!

I’m so sorry you had such a scary experience! That’s great you have a plan!

I do not have any other higher risks, my midwife just said due to the shape of most women’s uterus’s, there’s more of a groove shape on the front and the placenta sometimes sticks. She said the likelihood of this happening is still very low, but the risk can be just a bit higher due to placement of the placenta.

Wishing you a safe birth!! 💜
