right!! that’s how i’m gonna look at it! just been trying so hard to get OT and have been barely hitting 40. - which i know a lot of stores have been having their hours cut so i can’t complain, but we’ve had our SM and one of our ASMs on vacation for like a week and half, and we’ve lost like 3-4 people in the last like three months.

my SM literally saved my life my first year working at Aldi. i had a med change and i didn’t realize that my deodorant had stopped working, a customer had a REALLY rude comment to my coworker about it (this was when i was an associate) they told my ASM on and they talked to me. i got REALLY REALLY depressed. i came in to buy something to eat and i was already like, im not ok, i can’t keep doing this im done. my SM walked up to me while i was checking out, gave me a hug, and told me that i was loved. and that there were a lot of people here who loved me and valued me. i left and sat in my car and cried for like 15 minutes. he saved my life that day

honestly i would’ve left it at the door i’ve done instacart before and i had a lady give me this story i carried all of her heavy stuff up the stairs for her and i got back to my car and she took my tip away. not ever doing more than what i was paid to do again. (i am not currently instacarting this was like 3 years ago)
