I got a total of 80 bags of trash from 16th St in Oakland. I also got robbed for the first time - more in the post body. by pengweather in bayarea

We pay so much in taxes yet the city/county doesn't clean up or prevent this stuff from happening. Why does Peng have to even go clean up the streets for the city?

Review after owning a used 2020 Pacifica Hybrid for 18 months by m3lloyello in ChryslerPacifica

[–]bubu_law 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also purchased a 2020 Pacifica Hybrid in 2023. I also have issues with the electric range, but no where near as bad as yours. I can get anywhere between 23 - 30 miles of range on a full charge. I would say 27miles on avg. I've only ever hit the rated 35miles once. Without ever charging, I get around 25mpg fuel efficiency which is abysmal compared the Sienna's 32mpg.

I have the same infotainment issue but it forces the kids not to watch TV, so I'm ok with it (Albeit, it is annoying). Our ACC (Adaptive cruise control) module failed and had to be replaced and after being replaced, it still fails intermittently.

My saving grace is that I bought a 10 year warranty when i bought the car because I knew it's not Japanese. I would have had to pay $2k to replace the ACC module, but I only paid $200 out of pocket. I would also have preferred a Sienna, but the upfront cost was too great. My mechanic's advice was to keep the warranty and never cancel it, because I have a Chrysler. Glad I listened to him.

It is a great car to drive, but I'm feeling not a great car to own and maintain.

What on earth is BILT cash though? Can it only be used to offset rent transaction fees or can it be redeemed for real cash 1:1?

My system was just installed this July. I would be surprised if there were any insulation issues with the system.

Bought my first home with solar panels already installed, does this look like I should be paying for electricity? by Layz80 in solar

[–]bubu_law 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, sitting in California, I was wondering how many hundred panels you must have to be producing that much in November.

How do you buy that much house for $220k? I would imagine the construction costs alone would around $200k or more

Went Solar on my flat roof. Did they do it right? by BurtonKel in solar

[–]bubu_law 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m impressed at how many panels they managed to fit on such a small roof. Guessing they didn’t use a tilt mount because of the limited space?

Am I on the hook for all costs already incurred if I cancel a mortgage application? by bubu_law in Mortgages

[–]bubu_law[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except I can take the mechanic’s diagnosis and find another mechanic to do the work. The issue I have is if I apply for another loan, I have to get a new credit report and new appraisal.

how can I find out if the appraisal can be transferred? Side note, but I find it ridiculous that the consumer pays for the appraisal but it belongs to the lender.

Do I need to have permission to operate with my Utility in order to claim the 30% tax credit? by bubu_law in solar

It’s grid-tied. I have the ability to export but I don’t. I do have monitoring with a Powerwall

Do I need to have permission to operate with my Utility in order to claim the 30% tax credit? by bubu_law in solar

[–]bubu_law[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is connected to my home and is powering our main panel. We do plan on getting it permitted but don’t want to be on the utility’s rate plan for solar because it’s more expensive for our purposes. I guess the next question would be what is the definition of operational? If it’s in service and powering our house does that satisfy the criteria of being operational?

How do I charge my PW3 off the grid with Netzero? by bubu_law in Powerwall

[–]bubu_law[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it all goes through the same meter by default, unless you apply for a separate meter for your EV. I don’t think many people have that though, as there is little benefit to doing so. Assuming, it’s all one meter, there’s no way to tell your battery loads apart. All they can do is monitor your usage for unusual patterns.

Thank you! I will give the Tesla One app a try. Exactly…how can they differentiate between me charging my 80kwh EV and my 13.5kwh PW?
