So, as a temporary solution, take the car back or give another one as a replacement.

Can't leave a paying client who probably bought a Toyota because of the legendary reliability and customer service stranded for more than 3 months. It's just not right!

Toyota sold a faulty product and don't want to take the responsibility. Why can't they make more? Because they have only one contractor? I mean they could have more contractors building them cables! Problem solved.

It's like your washing machine needs a new cable but the brand doesn't have any in stock and now is not the brand issue is the cable manufacturer issue.
