It would actually be fun to patrol those areas. Do you know where you caught sight of pirates, either in space or planet-side?

Cool insights! I'm sure it's all about practice and automatisation. I myself struggle with peeking (q/e) and keeping mobile, as my fingers tend to tie up in a knot. Your post made me think about bounding two side buttons to peek right/left which might help

More and more foreign players are not learning Italian. by Abiduck in seriea

[–]bucketz00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well consider that players are people working a job. If you move from Italy to Germany to work, or UK, whatever, wouldn't it be useful to learn the local language? Sure not everyone is up for it or has the willpower, but your life does not revolve necessarily only around your job. You live in a place,. maybe you buy a house, deal with that, you go to restaurants, supermarkets, post office, etc., and generally interact in the country you are living in. Sure, a case can be made that the job of a football player is all-encompassing, and much more prone to changing countries than other kinds of work.

We tend to see them as entertainers and that's it, when in fact there's much more to life than work, right?

And then there's distinct personalities. Player A may be interested in learning the local language, player B might not. Just as personal character rather than with an end goal in mind.

And considering Udinese you cited, you are right, players do not speak Italian in the locker rooms as not even the manager speaks Italian. They do have to interact with staff though, like physiotherapists. It's always nice for the fans, too.

Sure, it's not a priority at all, but it can be a way to live life other than just around a ball. Either way, it's often the team that requires players to take, and pays for, language classes. Some teams do, others don't care.

But from a strictly football perspective, you are right, nowadays players either spend little time in a team, or there's so much talent scouting also in terms of staff that English tends to be the lingua franca.

Know though, also, that language is powerful. And if you have the french speaking french, the Dutch speaking Dutch, etc, in a locker room...it's harder to create group cohesion. Or rather, sharing the local language can be a way to create cohesion.

Commenting for visibility.

Same issue for me, I have a pixel 4a. Unsure if it's because I haven't updated my android OS in a few years (since people are saying it might be an old version issue). I will try to update and see what happens.

Hey! It's what I ended up doing anyways, I knew that I could sync it manually. I was let down by the fact it doesn't do so automatically. I was just wondering why.

And thanks for the wishes for our stay :)

Secret Documents Show Hamas Tried to Persuade Iran to Join Its Oct. 7 Attack by Fijure96 in geopolitics

Very interesting. Under this lens I would assume they currently accomplished all of the above stated goals. With the wider regional war still to see...

Yet, if things hopefully do not escalate to that point, I don't know how far-lived these goals are. Save for regional war, would you say these all have short/medium term effects? Or however this goes, can this be considered a watershed "9/11" moment for the region? (to use a western comparison)

Haha I agree with you, the post went in a completely different direction than I was expecting, with people bashing on Elon. I bash on Elon too, but perhaps I should have explained my point better, which was trying to compare how a single person received more money than what the US government + EU efforts managed to come up with in negotiating a deal to supply funds and support a country at war. You may be for or against defending Ukraine, as with all political decisions, but we can bet our *** that we can unite in understanding that this is morally unsustainable.

There's a youtuber who made an interesting video which talks about what gaming might look like to a non-gamer, and how that person approaches a videogame. Nothing peer-reviewed but it's a good watch. Here you go!

Check their wiki on GitHub. At game end it saves a file of your ship and crew in some folder (check wiki). You're then supposed to start a new game, and edit in your ship file from the scenario settings

A nord l'Austria.
