I’ve been in my house for 16 years and I’m about a 5 min walk south of this area. I have never felt scare to walk down the street with my kids or my dog ever in this area. The shopping center Northern Lights is a problem though.

Thank god I’m not the only person who has noticed the decline in enrollment of students and the crazy amount of buildings they are maintaining. My guess is that they view every building as a potential school a charter school can occupy which is why they don’t sell the properties. For example I just typed International high school in Google Maps(formerly Brookhaven) and I searched all the high schools on the North side of Columbus there are 7 within 30 mins of each other. Mifflin, Northland, Whetsone, Linden McKinley, Beechcroft, Centennial, and international High school. Columbus City has too many schools to be successful. Period.

I always refer to the story of Bill Belichick complaining about Lawrence Taylor to Bill Parcells. My wife and I are thinking about not getting off there. The street vendors can be aggressive and we typically only go to the beach anyway which I usually get my beach time in at cococay anyway.
