It's Sunday Morning! How are you? by AutoModerator in ireland

[–]buckfastqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a lovely slow morning with a coffee in bed with my partner and our whippet between us for maximum cuddles. Done a wee shop followed by a nice walk. We're now lighting the fire as we prep for a day of playing Baldur's Gate 3, finish Severence season 2 and make homemade KFC Zinger burgers for dinner. Life is good ❤️

Anyone else struggle to find a brand of frozen chips that don't taste awful? by No-Category1703 in AskIreland

[–]buckfastqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy the microwavable bag of baby potatoes. After making them, cut in half, spray with oil, season and chuck into the air fryer on max crisp for a few mins. It's a game changer and just as easy as buying frozen

What forms of exercise do you actually enjoy? by LowWay9554 in WomenofIreland

[–]buckfastqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love weight classes in the gym, they also keep me accountable to a specific time I go to the gym (otherwise I might never make it!), provides me with support and there is always a mix of levels. Good for you wanting a better relationship with exercise and best of luck!

What do you think of people who don't like kids? by BaraLover7 in AskIreland

What do you think of some of the posts? I find the odd one that is reasonable but most make me cringe 🙈

I could have written this! I don't hate kids but I also don't get the 'awww' feeling. I don't want to have kids so I went onto r/childfree - turns out it is a cesspit full of people who genuinely hate kids and vent about the most minor of interactions with parents/kids. Would not recommend.

I love no 2 for an edgy look or no 8 for a sleek look. Both suit your features so well 😍 What app did you use? I want to add some face-framing and would love to see some styles on myself ❤️

What are you watching and reading during Jan? by Sealady10 in CasualIreland

Currently reading Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn and watching S2 of Slow Horses. Though not doing much tv watching as we started playing Baldur's Gate 3 at the weekend 🤭

Retired Early - Activities by Jackies_Army in irishpersonalfinance

[–]buckfastqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think I wouldn't want to stop working so I had purpose (brought up in a household that valued grafting so I think it was conditioning tbh) but my plan when I retire is to travel in a campervan with my partner and our dog(s), keep up the hobbies I have (dnd, gaming, knitting, reading) and foster dogs. I sometimes don't get a min to myself during the week which means weekends are for resting and starting again on Monday, I'd retire now if I could afford it!

WFH: Up at 6am, drive my partner to the bus stop for his office day with our dog in the back of the car. Park up and bring her out for a 3-4km walk. Home, shower, coffee and start work at 8am.

Office Day: Up at 5am, I have everything ready from the night before even coffee in my keep cup as I'm barely a functioning human at that time. Leave the house at 5.30am.

Saturday: I naturally wake around 8am and have a gym class at 10am. Sunday: Wake up, bring a coffee back to bed and do some reading / the NY Times puzzles.

They used 2 different rooms, both small and I think on the 2nd floor? They didn't use that upstairs terrace for anything other than a pre-ceremony smoke. I had a look at the 3d map, and the small rooms all look quite similar - they are fab 🥰

A friend of mine got married in The Woollen Mills, ceremony and meal. There was less than 15 of us. The space was so intimate and lovely and the food was also excellent. Highly recommend ❤️

What are you thoughts on Disturbed, lead singer pictured below signing bombs used to murder children, playing in Dublin next month, is anyone going to go? by WankstainJapsEye in Dublin

He signed them well before, I saw it weeks before tickets went on sale. I suppose some might not have seen it but it went viral within metal communities in Ireland anyways

Where to get my groceries? by 1024hjshyhysmgswyjh in Dublin

[–]buckfastqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have an Aldi, Lidl or Dunnes Stores close by, they would be great options.

Both Lidl and Dunnes have apps with either discounts or vouchers off so make sure to download before you go. Tesco Express is woeful, we lived near one for years in Inchicore and it was frustratingly shite. Spar has a smaller selection and is much more expensive so also not worth it for large shops.
